I know it seems strange to mention mushroom houses in a restaurant, but bear with me. The tour is great, but since all of the houses are privately owned, you never get to see inside. This restaurant was designed by Earl Young and really helps...you to envision them when you see them. Okay, now onto the restaurant part... We had a wonderful dinner here! The food was great and our waiter Jeff went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic experience.More

We've dined here numerous times. The very fresh whitefish and lake perch are always excellent. Try the cherry ice cream for dessert.

Great! Loved the food! We went earlier about 5 pm. We tried to go the day before at 6:30 pm and there was a 45 min wait for outside and 1 hour for inside.

Amazing! We had the blue cheese salad wedge to share. Then I ordered the twin filets which were prepared 2 different unique ways. Outstanding! My husband had the perch which was also delicious. Alexia, our waitress was attentive to all our needs but not overbearing....The view was great too!More

Avoid this restaurant. They would not seat a family due to their religious beliefs. Called the cops for no reason. Staff at this restaurant are horrible people.

Boats of all sizes pass by the dining terrace going to/from Lake Michigan at this channel-side restaurant. The food is basic but good, especially the lunchtime sandwiches, and the summertime boat watching makes this longstanding restaurant worth a visit or three. Really good drinks, and...a handsome selection of beers.More

We wished we could have sat on the deck but they didn't have room. We sat inside by a window. The few is great. I had the fish and fries. It was so good, and a huge portion. Our waiter was great.

I dined here on July 23, 2020 with my wife and 2 kids. I dined here before and it was always good. We ordered the morel mushroom soup, 2 burgers, and the perch. All the food was very good and server 1063 did a great...job taking care of us. The view was great and we had an outdoor table over looking the canal going out to Lake Michigan. Our bill was $105 not including tip with one glass of wine.More

The Weathervane is a great spot with an amazing view! Our servers were on top of it and their cleanliness standards were quite good! Our meal consisted of three great items - French onion soup, artichoke dip, and cherry pie. The drinks were also amazing!...Our two mains, one whitefish dish and one whitefish/perch dish were a bit lacking in flavor and expensive for what we received. We will be back next time we are in Charlevoix!More

No dress code is required. Because they are in a 'tourist' town, particularly in the Spring, Summer and Fall....you are welcome at Stafford's Weathervane in casual attire.
