Spectacular food, view of the channel and ferry, and some of the friendliest and best service of anywhere I've eaten. There is a dock for the boaters to tie off or you can drive and take the ferry. Almost all the tables have incredible views...of the south arm of Lake Charlevoix. The manager visited every table to have a short conversation or assist in any way possible. Truly a forgotten service technique.More

Great destination restaurant for fun and food. Friendly staff and great indoor/outdoor setting. Definitely get the Bavarian pretzel, it’s huge and delicious. Ask for extra pimento spread:). The grilled salmon sandwich is delicious. The walleye bites are good, maybe a little heavy on the batter.

This restaurant is not about food or staff, it is about a place and fun and happy times. There are some very good items on the menu, wife always has some fish dish that comes with tortillas, looks fabulous. I usually end up with a...burger. Love to be in a lively place with boats coming and going, good staff, well organized process. Great drinks. The "in" place, the "groovy" place.More

Our server's name was Madie. She was wonderful. She answered all our questions with patience, yet enthusiasm! The portion size is very generous and the taste of the food is wonderful. Try the beach fries, they're really good. The boat and ferry watching is fun...as well. This is a great place to enjoy food!More

Came here by boat yesterday. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Ordered the dockmaster burger and fries. I can't think of a restaurant that was so generous with their French fries as I could have easily split them with someone and...still had plenty. The dockmaster burger was cooked to perfection! Lightly toasted bun and cooked medium rare. Cheese choices are pimento, American, white cheddar and smoked Gouda. I personally choose the white cheddar and it was excellent along with the tomato's, lettuce and red onions. I cannot stress enough just how friendly the staff here are. They really go out of their way to make your visit a great experienceMore

Cute waterfront dining. Great service. The food was good, not great. Small pieces of perch in my basket was ok, but not filling. My sons and husband had the burger, which they said was ok with a small handful of chips as a side. They...all left a little hungry.More

Atmosphere is great…food, not so much. I was looking forward to their lobster roll…even at $29.99. Unfortunately, it was such a disappointment that it was “faux lobster” ugh. Also, the chicken on the Caesar appeared to be canned! Don’t waste your money on the food…it’s...not worth it. Go for the view.More

We had a very poor dinner at the Landing. We used to go there frequently, will not return unless they get back on track. Two of our group had the lamb burgers - extremely dry, overcooked, hard slab of meat. Three of us had the...fried perch - waaaay over-salted and tasted old, the batter was heavy - just a really bad dining experience. The wine list is extremely limited. I'm giving it 2 stars only because the service was attentive and friendly. The food is a no-go!!More

My son recommended this restaurant and despite freezing outside for dinner, I would def come back. Our server, Benjamin, was fantastic and very attentive even though he was busy. All employees wore masks and they were diligent about cleaning tables. Favs were the lobster roll...with a side of beach fries and the burger. I had high hopes for the wood fire grilled broccolini but they were a bit too charred for my liking. Other than that, I would come back for lunch or on a warmer day via boat. Ambience is nice on the water and cool vibe. Expect a bit of a wait.More

We stayed in a VRBO house for a week in Charlevoix and only ate out once due to COVID. We picked The Landing for its out-of-town location and ability to order online or via phone. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and I got...the Asian Chicken salad. Both were awesome and ready for pick up at pur desired time. Wish we could have eaten there as the place was freshly updated with cheery paint colors and had a fun buzz as it's right on Lake Charlevoix. Boaters taking a break stop there regularly; it's been there for years and it's nice to see it refreshed and thriving. Great for a snack, drink or meal.More

The food here is overpriced, but I get it, this is northern Michigan, and the scenery is beautiful. Sitting out on the dock and eating is absolutely fabulous. My girlfriend and I ordered the roasted pork nachos and split them. They are large and more...than two people could easily make a meal off of these, but I was a little bit disappointed that there was no more pulled pork than there was. The service is great. Recommend you at least stop and have a drink and watch the boats go throughMore
