Not the best food, not the best service. The restaurant has a nice vibe and decor, the setting is superb. It's a great place to land if you're not in a hurry and are okay with a good but not great meal.
We were traveling home from Mackinac Island Memorial weekend and traveling through Charloevoix and read good reviews regarding the food and atmosphere at the Landing eatery. Lobster roll caught my eye and I was determined to go. Beachy fun vibe right on the water. Boats...More
Was back in Charlevoix for the first time in a long time and theyve done a great job with this gem, its been remodled and the menu has changed quite a bit. Got the dockmaster burger and the waffle fries with the strawberry jam. What...More
Friends of friends who are from the area and still come every summer highly recommended that we go to The Landing, and we were so glad we went there for a late lunch. Four of us got a table inside but we could still see...More
You can't beat this place for location and enjoyment. We come by car but they have good docking space, even for our larger sailboat. Boaters can purchase recreational gas here, but not diesel.
We visit several times each season, especially when friends/family visit. There are...More
Really enjoyed the restaurant setting and decided to go back another time before vacation ended. I ordered a margarita but it was just so-so and my husband got the Rara rum runner. It was so good we bought a couple of bottles to bring home...More
Happened by the Landing and decided to give it a try. We managed to dine on the evening of the inaugural pirate fest kickoff. A bit of a wait for an outside table, but scored a table at the end of the finger-pier on Lake...More
This place was hopping when we attended on a Saturday in July. We shouldn't have been surprised. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long for a table inside, but the wait for an outside table was a couple of hours. Boats and cars were coming...More
For years The Landing served perch baskets and sandwiches. Not this year! Instead they offer cod. This is Great Lakes country, not New England. Every restaurant offers cod, I will return when they go back to perch.
Unfortunately, we are not able to open in 2015. We never planned on missing a season, and and all the employees were also very bummed to not be open! Everyone really has a great time working here for the summer. Building on... More
Unfortunately, we are not able to open in 2015. We never planned on missing a season, and and all the employees were also very bummed to not be open! Everyone really has a great time working here for the summer. Building on the water here has presented many challenges that we have fought to overcome, and things have taken much longer than planned. But we know that it will be worth the wait, the new space is amazing! We loved the old building and all it's character, but it was falling apart beyond repair, and wasn't serving us or our customers very well. Our goal is to build a building that will last for another 50 years and create a lot of great memories of its own! The menu and prices are staying the same, although we may add a few more items here and there. Please feel free to call me with any concerns or questions, thanks! 231-547-9036
