The food and service was very good; we had the Godfather sub and the Italian sub. However- when we walked in it took quite a while for anyone to come to the front and put our name on the waiting list and provide an expected wait time. We felt that a little friendly acknowledgment, greeting, and a quick setting of expectations would’ve been very helpful. I watched the same thing happen with several other parties that walked in after us as well. The need for a friendly smile and communication can’t be over emphasized.

Delish Pizza

We did not dine in the restaurant. We ordered takeout pizza. It was ready on time and it was delicious. Our whole group was very pleased with it.

Amazing Italian Meal and Stellar Service!

I've eaten at Angio's for many years, but this was just an amazing lunch. We weren't celebrating anything, just a nice get-together with old friends. Starting off, the waitress was certainly top form, to say the least. She was very personable and anything we asked for was immediately there with a big smile! I'd seen a cooking video recently and decided to order the chicken piccate, which is a dish I've never had in my life! It was superb, to say the least. I got two HUGE chicken breasts with home made linguini. The chicken was perfectly prepared and the sauce simply amazing. We had a choice of soup or salad and the salad had just been prepared ... fresh and delicious! My friend ordered the cabbage soup and absolutely loved it! We joked how it had been inhaled!! They serve fresh bread, which is always wonderful ... I had enough food for two additional meals! As previously mentioned, I've dined at Angio's for 20-plus YEARS, but this was just wonderful. i noticed the chef/head cook was out checking periodically on everyone. I just can't say enough great things about my meal on Friday, November 6th ... HAPPY DAY!!!!!

Ignored By Staff. Won’t Return!!

We visit the area every summer, and it seems the place gets worse with each visit. I believe they take advantage of the fact that there aren’t other restaurants in the area, so it’s ok to treat customers like crap. We were there Saturday and after a 15 minute wait we were seated by a hostess who didn’t seem to know which direction she was going. We sat down and we’re promptly ignored. It was a full twenty minutes before we were even asked if we wanted coffee! (Another couple at a nearby table left after they didn’t see a waitress 15 minutes after sitting down.) My wife got her breakfast after 56 minutes, and mine came out several minutes after that. The food was uninspiring. This is breakfast. We were hungry. We ate it. Their food never been great, but we put up with the mediocrity because there isn’t another restaurant for miles. But we won’t return. We love the area, but we’ll drive the 40 minutes to St Ignace or Sault Ste Marie for a meal before we’ll risk being insulted by this place again. Someone could make a fortune opening a halfway decent diner in the Hessel/Cedarville area!

Take out food is mediocre

Last time I complained about this place they removed it from their Facebook wall. So I will put my review on here this time where they can't erase it. Well, we tried it again today. We ordered a pizza and salad to go. The salad had 2 cucumbers, 1 sliver of onion, 1 piece of sliced mushroom and no tomatoes. The pizza, yeah the toppings are missing, ok, well, you need a magnifying glass to see them. My question is, why is it when you go to dine in, the food is ok. But when you order take out, it sucks! Yeah my husband called this time to complain and we got the same run around. "I'll talk to my crew" well either you are a very soft spoken person or your crew is deaf because it isn't changing! We will NEVER step foot in there again. One more thing. When you look at reviews on Facebook they are all good. I wonder why?

Mediocre food but probably the best here

Might be the best food in town but it is very mediocre Italian food. I had fettuccine with their Rosso sauce and it did not have much flavor. Salad/dressing was bland. Had jumbo shrimp with my pasta that was not very fresh and I know I’m a dumb ass to think it should be better in the UP - but it’s pretty damn good when I make it in indiana. She had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken that was also very bland. Her wedding soup was tasty but not great. Drinks were a light pour but we drink too much I guess. Heard they had good fish but don’t know. Not much to eat in this town so this is probably as good as it gets.

We had 3 meals here (one to-go) and loved everything! Great selection, super staff, clean, and honestly the food was really really good, I had the homemade ravioli and grilled chicken Caesar salad and both were fresh and uniquely tasty. This place is special!, highly recommended.

Great Pizza!

Stopped in for lunch, the staff was very friendly and they took great precautions to maintain social distancing. Service was prompt and the pizza was very good.

When you just want a nice family restaurant with a salad bar - Ang-Gios is your go to. Family atmosphere good food for the money.

Great Whitefish Basket

After hearing about this place from a new friend, we decided to try it. What a neat find! When we are in the UP, we love trying the whitefish everywhere we go and this place has the top score in the eastern UP so far! Also tried the Red Jacket Amber Ale from the Keweenaw Brewing Company. Delish! We definitely recommend trying An-Gio's when in Cedarville!

Great Italian and american food, breakfast is awesome, atmosphere is comfortable, service is great, owners always acknowledge you and ask about your visit, one of the best stops we make, in our two week stay, can't leave until we have had their pizza.

Pizza and salad

The pizza here is very good and the salad bar has a good variety. My husband loves the inside out grilled cheese. The service is also prompt and friendly. The only item I've had that I didn't care for was the pasta angelo - the alfredo sauce was just so-so. I literally added salt, a pat of butter, and a generous helping of Parmesan from the shaker so I could add enough flavor to eat it. Overall, it's really one of our favorite spots and we get take out from there when we're in town.

WOW!!! A friend suggested this place. It did NOT disappoint at all. Stellar service. Incredible food. Clean place and prompt service with a pretty salad bar. Cant wait to go back!
