Friendly Atmosphere

The place was packed at 4:30 on a Friday. I was greeted upon entering and told to sit wherever I liked. I found a place in the very corner and was worried about any server finding me, but a very pleasant waitress showed up in about two minutes! It was fish Friday with perch, cod, and pollock to choose from at slightly different prices. I chose the cod with extra tartar sauce. The waitress asked if I’d also like some lemon; that was quite conscientious of her. The plate soon arrived with lots of fries (other choices were available), coleslaw, a small but tasty roll and my fish. Culver’s this ain’t! The three breaded cod strips were pretty small but were still warm. They did arrive with the extra tartar sauce I’d ordered; thankfully my waitress was diligent about that! They were good but nowhere comparable to Culver’s. My waitress checked on me twice during my meal, which was a refreshing change and surprising considering how busy it was. The entire meal with a root beer was about $20. As I left, someone at the counter thanked me and wished me a nice day. Surprising, because I wasn’t even looking their way. Very nice.

Fun diner, good food

Went on a Tuesday morning and had breakfast. The entire meal was very good, service could use some improvement, our server wasn’t attentive overall. No jelly served with toast, had to track another server down to get that (our server was nowhere to be found). When it came time to get our bill it took quite awhile. Food was great overall just not the best service.

What's not to Like

I really like their SOM (steak, onion, mushroom) hoagie. Get it with cheese too. They have a great fish sandwich too. Their Polack on Fridays is really tasty, and filling. Great onion rings. They have hand dipped ice cream too. The last time we went though, none of the waitstaff were wearing masks. Coming from the City, this made us very nervous, because it is required where we come from. We will reluctantly return, especially since there are few restaurants in the area, or we might just get carry out.

Staff is just rude and disrespectful

Me and my family went here for breakfast, and let’s just say it wasn’t the best experience. This one day we went the staff were rude and unworthy. When my mother went up to pay, the lady was being so rude and complaining. The staff didn’t ask us how good our food was or how our experience. Along with good though, it was pretty good. I recommend coming here on a hot and sunny day, so staff are in a GOOD MOOD and the day we went , it was cloudy and rainy.

Stopped by for a late lunch on a rainy day while vacationing in the area

We shared both the Lake Perch dinner and the Cod dinner and found the food not only really good, but with very large portions and reasonable priced. The amount of fish was more than twice the amount we got at another place we ate but was also much better tasting. The lady who waited on us was both friendly and efficient. We will make a point of stopping here in the future.

We ate outside in a covered patio area that used to be a drive-in. My friends and I had burgers, fries, curly fries and onion rings along with a pop. I had the Lefty’s super deli burger done deluxe style with onion rings. Both were good to very good. Both my friends said there burgers were good but one said the regular fries were soggy. Inside is the classic 50’s dinner set up. Outdoor seating is low top patio tables and picnic tables. I can’t recall if they had wifi. Good, friendly service. Pricey. My meal with drink was $21.19 before tip. Side lot parking. I may return when I’m back on the area or try to find a spot with a little better price point.

Stopped here twice. Burgers were delish ! Salad was mediocre. Onions rings were good, but expensive ! Coffee and lemonade for drinks, also good. Lunch was $37.00 ! Cute atmosphere, but was pricey.

Loved the Summerfest burger and onion rings. The waitress was friendly, service was great, and they gave us an entire fresh pineapple as a parting gift. 🙂

We enjoyed this restaurant. We ate inside. The atmosphere was beachy. Food was good. We had the fish dinner and the chicken wrap. Good sized portions. The waitress was friendly and efficient. We returned for breakfast the next day and also had a good experience then.

A Dump..

My husband and I were in the area on a warm sunny Saturday in October (2020). We saw this place and decided to give it a try. We should have known when we didn't see a sign on the door asking that masks be worn, but figured it might have fallen in the wind or something. We walked in wearing our masks, because there is a Michigan Health Department order requiring them. Sat down and our waitress came over to our table not wearing one and used a dry napkin to wipe it off (another sign we should have left). We noticed the bus boy wasn't wearing a mask, neither was another waitress or any other patron walking to and from the rest room. Not used to that coming from the Tri-City area where you can't go into Menard's without a mask... We should have gotten up and left, and that's our fault. I ordered a BLT, my husband a burger and we both ordered fries. The fries were cold, the burger meat paper thin.. My sandwich was fine. After eating, the waitress with no mask did offer to take our check up instead of us walking up to the register (that was right in front of the door). I'm pissed that we didn't leave and tell them why we weren't staying... It's wrong. Apparently they think they're above Health Department orders, the same Health Department that insures we all eat food served at the correct temperature, that the kitchen is clean and bug free...they also enforce mask wearing as a Public Health Risk....If staff here can't find it within their capability to wear a mask according to Code, I doubt they can find it within their ability to have a clean kitchen. I hope the MDHHS paid them a visit..

Good burgers and shakes

The burger was solid, chocolate shake was good. I would have appreciated if the staff would have actually been wearing masks as advised during Covid pandemic, particularly when handling our food. Other than that, would not be opposed to returning.

Love this place. Eat here every summer during our vacation. The negative reviews on Leftys are petty in my opinion. We've always had good food, good service and reasonable prices.

Great restaurant with a 50's theme

A cute small family restaurant on the shore of Lake Huron in the town of Caseville, MI. With a couple of girlfriends to have lunch. The one girlfriend is a niece of the owner so she has been there many times. Comfortable tables and seats indoors as well as outdoors. A vast menu of items that makes it hard to choose an item for lunch. I had a cheeseburger, as Caseville is famous for their August Cheeseburger Festival. So i ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Was not disappointed....the burger was awesome !!! The lemonade was wonderful too that I had. Such a vast selection of food items, makes it something for everyones taste. It also has a soda fountain...too cute !! I would highly recommend going to this restaurant for either lunch or dinner. I understand they also serve breakfast as well. Great place and friendly too.

Great burger but the everything else was disappointing.

We visited as we passed thru town in the evening. The place was moderately busy. We ordered a shakes burgers and chili fries. The shakes came within minutes and were totally melted before anything else came 25 minutes later. Our burgers were fine, cooked well and tasty but the chili fries were cold fries with warm chili and cheese sauce added. We even got an extra order of cold fries that we did not order. We never saw our waitress after we ordered and a kitchen person delivered our meal. We will try some place else next time.

Good Burgers

Stopped here with family on a Saturday afternoon. The place was packed. We seated ourselves and quickly got our menus. Our server was attentive and took our orders quickly. Food arrived within a reasonable amount of time for how busy they were. Our burgers were delicious! No complaints from our table of 5. Prices were reasonable for the location. I would recommend and will return in the near future.
