come to matsuchan if you are craving for ramen or udon. good selection of noodle soup. it is a mom and pop shop with authenticity of making ramen. they have some other rice menu such as fried rice, beef bowl. note that the place is very small and not kids friendly.

Wow. This place was TERRIBLE. Let me start off by saying that I've lived in Japan for 18 years and I'm half Japanese. I've eaten ramen easily over 500 times in my life at various locations in Japan. This is one of the worst ramen I've ever had in my life. The soup was thin but salty. The dumplings tasted... More

I went for the first time and thought it was pretty good, the food was reasonably priced and the portion sizes were very large (at least for the ramen). I would definitely recommend trying the place out.

I was very impressed that we got real Ramen in MI,USA. The recommended dish is Tonkotsu Ramen, noodle with a pork bone broth. Ramen is the national food of the Japanese. Enjoy!!

It's a rather small space tucked into the corner of a strip mall, and if the predominantly Japanese clientele is any indication, it's authentic. You get huge bowls of Ramen noodles with various additional meats and veggies as well as all meat (beef) or chicken/egg/pork dishes stir fried with onions etc., and a big bowl of rice. The beef I... If you ever watched The Ramen Girl with Brittany Murphy in it, you're going to want to try a Japanese Noodle restaurant. If you're like me, you can't afford to go to Japan....so this is the next best thing. Matsuchan has pretty good ramen.

If you don't mind being bloated, go for it. But if you are a foodie that likes the enhancement of natural flavors, forget about it.

First visit there today during lunch, and it is every bit as good as others have already posted here. It is small and busy, but I was able to get a seat immediately. Quick service, too. My lunch entree was $8 and included soup, salad, meat and rice bowl -- a great value! It feels far more Japanese than American,... More
