Stopped for breakfast while traveling. Had the country skillet which was really enough for three meals but I managed to get two meals out of it. Very tasty! Beautiful of view of the lake and fall colors outside and inside (tables decorated with fall flowers)....Service was excellent.More

Nice place by the lake with a nice view. Service was good. Had the maple glazed chicken sandwich. Good flavor but a tiny sandwich for $8.99. Paid $2.99 for a small portion of fries. So over priced for what you get. Not sure they were...cleaning per Covid-19 required duties.More

We sat outside on the deck with our pup--we had a beautiful evening and our server, Mary Kate was great! The food is fine...basic menu, nothing outstanding or over the top, but sufficient. Wine menu is lacking, but the cocktails and beer seemed good.

We were traveling through Cadillac, MI because we had decided to take a more scenic route. It was time for supper so we started looking for a restaurant and saw Burke’s Waterfront Restaurant. It was a pleasant evening and they had outside seating near a...small body of water. There were also several cars there which is what we look for if it’s a normal time to eat. We were very happy with our experience there. I had the fresh perch which was pan fried with a Parmesan crust, baked potato and salad. My husband had the prime rib, which is a specialty there, stir fry vegetables, and salad. We had iced tea to drink, sweet and unsweet. We were both very satisfied with our meals. It was hot and cooked well and our service was good. If we travel this way again, we would stop there again.More

Returning from a trip up north, my wife and I were looking for someplace to grab lunch. We came across Burke's and had a very pleasant meal. My wife had a Reuben and fries which she said was very tasty. I took advantage of the...soup and salad bar and a sandwich. The soup was very good and the salad bar was fresh and included lots of items. We were very pleased with our selections and our server took excellent care of all our needs. A great local place to eat.More

We stopped at the Burke Waterfront Restaurant due to its proximity to the water. Our visit was on Sunday October 20th, 2019. It was a beautiful fall afternoon so we chose the outside deck seating. Our Server Kim. S was very attentive, cheerful and professional....We chose the Taco Salad with chicken. It was very plain and dry. Very little taste and generic salsa, indicative of store bought or commercially purchased (Gordon Food Service). The second dish was the Lake Perch with wild rice. Four (4) large size fillets. Good taste; not great taste. The tartar sauce was distasteful. It was tasted as though it had been sitting out for some time. We did have white cheddar cheese curds for an appetizer. They were tasty as we arrived rather hungry. I sampled the Ludington Bay Tangelo Pale Ale which was outstanding in flavor. I might add there was a large group which had left before our arrival. There plates, remaining food and glasses remained on the table nearly the entire time we dined. This was not very appealing to us. The service and deck view was good, due to the weather, but the food was very average.More

We were having a beautiful day enjoying the Summer weather until we stopped for lunch. We sat on the deck and ordered sandwiches and drinks , after that time stood still! We got our food 35 minutes later. It was a slow Thursday afternoon and...the server only checked back with us one time during our wait. If it were not for makes scene and waist out food we would have walked out. We have not stopped here for several years because of a similar experience and it looks like it will be several more before we stop back again. It is a nice location and the food was good but not worth the wait.More

Working our way to Chicago and decided to give this a try because they had a soup & salad bar. Place was not busy at all. Vickey was our waitress....very pleasant, but moves like a snail.......OMG! 🐌🐌🐌🐌 Several people came and went out to the...patio.....and sat there for some time before finally having someone come out to them. I counted three waitresses and a young man who just moved things around on table with no purpose?🤔 Elderly couple sitting behind us was upset with young waitress in a left knee brace. She brought their meal and when she finally came back, the man said he would like the rice he was supposed to get with his meal......waitress told him she though he wanted french fries. SMH!! Too much down time. There was a table next to the salad bar that was empty with dishes, etc. left on it after customers departed. The table sat this way for the entire time we were in for lunch....over 1 hour. Wait staff and condiment boy spent much time just standing around and passed this table many time without the drive or ambition to clean it up for future customers. Who supervises and trains this staff here? Very inefficient and sad to see from a customer's view.More
