Stopped at the After 26 Depot Cafe for breakfast during our road trip, and so glad we did. The depot building is lovely, view of the lake, service was good (a real plus currently), staff friendly, and the BEST omelet I have ever eaten, so...light, flavorful and fluffy. Delicious toast with what seemed to be homemade preserves. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend getting off the highway for this restaurant.More

Our group of seven decided to try the place for lunch during a very busy art fair Friday. Some of us are real railroad nuts and the building itself is preserved beautifully. We stopped by and reserved a table while we were wandering the art...fair and it was ready as promised when we went back. The table was in a smaller space called "the board room" so it was easy to talk. Water and drinks came quickly. The place was really busy, but everybody was coping very well. And the food? Fantastic! All freshly made. The chicken chili was wonderful as was the other soup option. Sandwiches were also fresh (home baked bread and croissants) and tasty. Shout out to the pickles (not often mentioned in a review). Again, seemed to be homemade. Would love to try breakfast. I'm sure it's amazing.More

We decided to have our small wedding reception at this very unique little place. Boy, did we hit a home run with that decision! Kelly the manager was simply amazing as the go-to person, taking care of everything we threw her way from beginning to...end and never breaking her smile. The place utilizes adults with various disabilities (which was a VERY BIG consideration when we made our choice of venues), and they provided flawless service! The food was incredible...well- prepared and DELICIOUS! Every one of our guests raved about how fantastic the meal was...EVERY ONE! That by itself was nothing short of a miracle! Overall, if we could give Kelly, her staff, and After 26 a higher score than a 5/5, we would in a heartbeat! An amazing time on an amazing day at an amazing place. THANK YOU KELLY AND AFTER 26!!More

We were really impressed with the concept of this local eatery. We’ve been here twice this summer for breakfast and both were delightful. Support local businesses and employees!

We ate here several times and/or stopped by for take-out soup. This refurbished train depot is clean and well-maintained; with a delightfully charming ambiance. (One should also become informed on the mission of this enterprise, quite laudable). The food, however, is the reason to come....Our servers, Delana and Jamie, were friendly, helpful and attentive. On our first visit we had oeach-stuffed pancakes and Cherry Grove bread pudding (our doctor recommends more fruit); both were wonderfully indulgent. We also had a bowl of the homemade soup of the day, and were hooked from then on. As stated, we returned several times to either eat-in or take-out. In fact, one of our last stops as we were leaving Cadillac, was for some take-out soup to enjoy at home. This charming eatery offers a delicious way to support a worthy endeavor.More

My wife and I were in town for a work related function (for me). We wanted to grab a bite and I wanted to eat somewhere near the water. Google Maps took us here. The name intrigued me but I didn’t really give it a...thought. The menu was varied and we each picked something and decided to split. I tied their Mac and cheese of the week and my wife went with the adult grilled cheese (good name). Both were very good. It wasn’t until I looked up the restaurant that I under stood the concept. With a wife who frequently has special needs kids in her classroom, and as someone who has volunteered with the same, we love the purpose of this restaurant. We were glad to do our part to support such a place. Give it a shot if you’re in the area.More

Very clean and a very friendly staff. My Sister and I both had the fish tacos. We asked employee Sammy if she had tried them and she assured us they were very good, she was right!!!

My daughter took me to eat for Mother’s Day! I had a prime rib dinner with roasted potatoes, vegetables, coleslaw and a roll! Everything was delicious and better food then at the Cadillac Grill!! Very nice place and a friendly atmosphere!!! The coleslaw was better...than Culver’s and K of C! Nice and clean and good food!! Will definately go back again!!! They handed out carnations out to all the moms!!! Wonderful place to eat!!! 😊More

Based on reviews from Trip advisor hubs and I decided to stop here for lunch in a town we've only driven through. We're glad we did. The ambience was great from the high tin ceiling to the historic look with old railroad lanterns. The servers...were friendly and the food good. Hubs had a yummy ham & cheese sandwich with barley something soup. I had a pulled pork with cole slaw on foccacia bun which was very good. All in all a good place to stop! Will do it again.More

Stopped here for Sunday breakfast based on other reviews. Not only was the food great, but they employ special needs adults. Ask about the meaning of the name. Their homemade corned beef was the basis of the special we both had. Big chunks of tasty...beef, beautifully caramelized onions, and sensuous pancakes. Great, friendly service. We will be back!More

After-26 Depot Cafe is set in the old rail depot in downtown Cadillac. The outdoor seating offers modest views of the lake; indoors is the depot. We were there on a Taco-Tuesday for lunch and decided on the taco special. The food was above average...but not special. People at the next table ordered the turkey Rueben and Adult Grilled Cheese, both of which looked outstanding. The location is great. You are across for a fantastic farmer's market and a few steps from a loved pedestrian walkway along the lake.More

What a great find this turned out to be. We stopped here with a group of 8. I tried the sweet potato skillet and had them put the honey on the side. I never used the honey as it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their breakfasts...and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back.More
