We just stumbled across the Blue Heron as we were driving through Cadillac, MI. It is a little cafe that serves breakfast and lunch. Lunch is mainly salads and sandwiches. We had the Nature's Lover salad, which was filled with all kinds of fresh fruit, and the HM Turkey sandwich. Both were delicious and very fresh. It is so much... More

We had four people in our group and were looking forward to eating here. Three of four ordered their steak salad. It was overall not flavorful, even the salsa topping provided for the dressing was not tasty. The steak was overdone and not much lettuce but a lot of tortilla chips all on the bottom. I left hungry. The one... More

Looks like a good place for locals to have breakfast. Meal was okay but nothing exceptional. Attentive wait staff. Might go back if ever in Cadillac again.

Cute little restaurant and bakery in Cadillac, Mi. Everyone at my table enjoyed their food. And it all came with sourdough bread. The bread was so good, I bought a loaf and brought it home.

This place has truly amazing baked goods! The donuts are amazing but my absolute favorite is their muffins! My husband works 3rd shift so I have him get one on his way home from work every so often. Definitely worth a try! You won't be disappointed!

Stopped based on Trip Advisor rating and reviews. Awesome menu, not a ton of choices, but excellent ones at that. BLT Frittata was simple awesome. Husband had the homemade rolled oats, another phenomenal choice. Priced right. Will be here again

We had breakfast here while traveling thru the area. I really liked the overnight oatmeal. The fresh bread that came with the eggs was delicious. The sevice was efficient and very friendly.

The Blue Heron serves an excellent breakfast and lunch in large proportions; they are not open for dinner. Food is always fresh and unique. Daily lunches include a choice of 2 homemade soups w/complimentary homemade sourdough bread and a variety of sandwiches on homemade sourdough bread or wraps. Salads are always freshly made and filled with fruit, vegetables, and/or meat with tasty dressings. Two baker's display cases are filled each morning with fresh cookies, fried cakes, muffins, bagels, pies, cakes, and a large variety of sweet rolls, baked on site. Customers congregate there for coffee and a choice of doughnut or cookie. Their breakfasts are hearty and delicious. The owner is the cook, and it is a treat to find such a high quality restaurant in this small tourist town.
