Had breakfast here and always love the special of eggs, crisp bacon, toast and O'Brien potatoes. It is always the same and very delicious. Great service, good coffee, and great food!

The Whistle Stop, open for breakfast and lunch, has a surprisingly large offering on their menu. Although they no longer had my favorite sandwich called a Denver. I opted for a Maurice salad, made famous by the old JL Hudson department store. Unfortunately, they don't make it the correct way and it turned out to be a bit disappointing. Prices... More

Fast service and great food. The coffee at the Whistle Stop is really good too. They offer a traditional American breakfast and do it very well. The prices are reasonable and you will be happy you stopped in. You will leave happy and satisfied.

This place has been here for years and does not disappoint in the service and the food here. I go for both lunch and breakfast. The soups are homemade and split pea is the best. Lots of carrots and potatoes in the soup. Their hot turkey sandwich is delicious. If you like Maurice salad - it is the best. Try... More

A fun little cafe with a great menu. From eggs to French toast you are going to find your favorite breakfast choice. The potatoes were crispy, just how we like them.

Visiting family in Birmingham, my husband wanted to bring us here as he remembered going for brunch as a small boy 45 years ago. Great food at very good prices, served with a smile. We found the food very good, and the service was attentive but not intrusive. Everything served fresh and hot, and plenty of refills on drinks. I... More

I have only had breakfast here, but what's not to like? The menu has many selections, the service is prompt, the food tastes good, and the value is fair. My wife has also enjoyed a couple of lunches she has had at Whistle Stop.

We tried The Whistle Stop because one of my coworkers mentioned they were serving up some memorable breakfasts. The tip was a good one and we've now been to The Whistle Stop a number of times on Sunday mornings. It's best to arrive early. The pancakes are delicious. Better than the Original Pancake House? The cook at The Whistle Stop... More

We have been going here for about 25 years, many times after hockey games years ago when the kids played at the rink next door. It is a great place to meet friends and get a very good value for your money.

I have been frequenting Whistle Stop for many years and it's as good now as when I started going more than 15 years ago. It's a great place for lunch during the week (and a little more crowded for breakfast on the weekends). They offer breakfast all day long. Watch for their French toast special with strawberries - promise you... More
