Very nice dinner twice at streetside; all was great. From appetisers to desert all was perfect. Especially surprised with the desert as we did not expect something that good and fairly creative. So good we went two nights in a row.

We went back to Streetside Seafood after a long absence of ten years, hoping that it was still as good as it used to be. We were not disappointed. The service was impeccable--they were always there when needed, were helpful, and didn't hover. We had...the crab cakes (very light and packed with crab), the lobster bisque (full of flavor) and the perch (crispy and moist, with yummy brussel sprout 'chips' on the side). A delicious meal where it was easy to relax and just enjoy it all, including the delicious hot bread. We wish that we could go back again soon!More

Found this on TA when passing thru Birmingham. We decided to just have Lobster Bisque and an appetizer rather than a full dinner. The bisque was excellent and so were the crab cakes. Service also excellent. Waiter came by and tempted us with Key Lime...pie so we split a piece and it was wonderful. Topped with a little whipped cream and lime zest. Will definitely be back!More

Streetside used to be our favorite restaurant in Birmingham, from far, 10 years ago when we first lived here. We came back last year, looking forward to come back to Streetside, and have been trying maybe 4 times now, at different seasons, days and times....Streetside has become regular. Nothing special. Not specially clean nor good. Service is not bad but not good. Nothing special. Even the bread you get waiting for your meal is regular. It used to be outstanding. What a pity. Did the owners change?More

Streetside is our "go to" Birmingham restaurant for both date night and special occasions. The food is always fresh and well prepared (the Perch is my personal favorite) and the staff professionally friendly, knowledgeable and competent.

Seafood at its best. Great quality seafood is the basis of all the dishes, and it is expressed in the wonderful flavors. A nice assortment of raw oysters and a nice bowl of lobster bisque made for a great start to our evening. The Cioppino...was a nice blend of different seafood that really hit the spot.More

We were looking for a seafood restaurant that offered Cioppino, and this was the only place we could find that had the soup. Not only was the soup great: the entire meal was excellent. We also had the filet mignon and the mussels. The meat...was super soft and the mushroom wine reduction with amazing. The mussels were very good as well. I tried the Lobster bisque: comes with a few pieces of lobster on top. Flavor was very good. They serve breadsticks made onsite with a Parmesan topping: so good we ended up having two rounds. Service was polite and timely. The restaurant is small: about 10 tables inside, a small bar and a few tables outside. We arrived at 5pm and the restaurant was already full. It remained this way until we left. There is a parking structure less than a block away from the restaurant: very convenient. We did not have wine on this occasion but I must say that the wine list is impressive. We will come back for sure: this was an excellent meal.More

Another great meal at Streetside. We split the filet and started either the steamed mussels. Wine with dinner and a drink at the bar . You’ll love this place.

Pros - small and cozy. Server was very knowledgeable. Diverse wine list. Chic crowd with deep pockets. Good music. Amazing cioppino (has mussels, shrimp, scallops, white fish) better than a mussels dish. Good service overall. Cons - small but cozy, outdoor seating. Wait after being...seated was 10 minutes which is too long. Server seemed like she was not having a good day but was knowledgeable. Would have rated as a five if server was personable.More
