We had a great time and ate very well. This place has so many unique specialties that if you bring someone you will definitely surprise them and have a great time, not just enjoying the food but the environment. We went close to Halloween day and they had the place fully decorated. Even though we waited a long time to... More

Need to get in line early for lunch or wait til after rush. Best breakfast and pancakes ever. Do not confuse with IHOP. There are 3 locations in Michigan.Definitely has unique menu items. Every time I visit I watch the food delivery at other tables and have to ask "what was that" and usually try next visit.

The flavor of the dishes served is awesome, absolutely better than any other restaurant. Unfortunately the line is often long.

Pancakes are good...but prices are spify, ie. $4.50 for a side of bacon...3 pieces. They do not honor specials advertised on the National website.

This is just a nice place to have breakfast anytime. Different kinds of pancakes, nice omelets and good coffee. Efficient service.

I'm not very fond of pancakes unless they are from The Original. My fav is the pumpkin pancakes during the Fall season. My second fav at the restaurant is the fresh orange juice. I'm not a big fan of anything else there although I know many people are. Expect a line out the door if you visit on the weekend.

We came with a group of 10 on a busy Saturday morning. We had sent a couple people in advance to make arrangements for our group, one of whom is in a wheelchair. We still had to wait in the first come-first served line and they still wouldn't seat us until all were present, but they could not have been... More

The Original Pancake House is right at home in this tony area of Oakland County. The ambiance is a couple cuts above your usual pancake house. As you can see from pics here at TripAdvisor, it is rife with dark wood paneling, chairs, tables, and booths. Be careful comparing this to other OPG sites, as we have found none around... More

While pancakes is in the name, OPH has its game in breakfast. All options- eggs anyway you wish, crepes, waffles, omelets, hash and yes pancakes are the best. I had the mushroom omelet this time along with cakes- generous portions- so much I took home for another meal. Be prepared to wait as this IS the Birmingham /Royal Oak place... More

As is common for the chain, the specialty pancakes and desserts are worth waiting for. Unfortunately, even though we were early for lunch (11:45 AM local), we had a long wait to be seated.
