Absolutely loved my meal here! Fantastic modern contemporary ambiance! Very original dishes with great use of farm to table culinary style! Will definitely return next time I'm in Birmingham!!!

We've been to Tallulah's many times over the last three years. Never had a meal, or an occasion to visit which I've been disappointed. Great service, wonderful food , seasonal menu, bar specials (love the happy hour wines and cocktails), just a pleasure. We come with family most often, but hubby entertains clients here as well. Please try this place,... More

Definitely disappointing and not the best place for dinner in Birmingham. With so many other great choices I'd never eat here again. Our appetizer the octopus and my dinner the prawns had weird off putting flavor. His dinner the tuna was just ok. Server was nice enough and I feel badly saying this negative review but I have to be... More

We really enjoyed the food. But there is an attitude there that is not appealing. It stems from the appearance that if they know you you get better treatment. It was clear that the regulars get preferential treatment. Now maybe if it wasn't so obvious, it would be okay. We had a reservation, asked for a certain table and were... More

We made early evening reservations just before happy hour . We were warmly greeted and seated promptly . Our server was wonderful and made some great recommendations. As suggested we chose a "pichet" of a Malbec . We decided on 3 appetizers :broccoli fritto, charred baby octopus and an amazing foie gras special . We finished with the pumpkin soup... More

The establishment has a classy setting and feel to it; hard wood floors and white everything. I met a friend for happy hour here. The bartender was friendly and she made one of the best Dirty Martinis that I have had in a long time. She also made good recommendations. We only ordered 2 appetizers. There isn't a ton of... More

This is a nice restaurant that has good food with fair prices for Birmingham. The setting is pleasant, but the noise level makes conversation difficult. Conversation was made even more difficult by the music and the singers that were performing that evening. The performers were good bu they should have been part of the background not the foreground. I guess... More

Right in the middle of Birmingham downtown and great place to spend the weekend nights. Like the food menu and the drink menu too.

We celebrated our Olivia's 25th birthday at Tallulah-a wonderful evening - small and intimate- a lovely meal -- the duck breast- fish and salads were amazing- I would recommend first seating for the best experience

The ambience was Christmasy so it's hard to tell what it might be normally. I can say that the TV at the bar pretty much killed any sense of a high end ambience. The service is good. What you'd expect though, nothing noteworthy. The wine selection is good. The food is really really good. I had the scallops and felt... More

Description
"Elegant in its simplicity, Tallulah Wine Bar & Bistro offers an uncluttered setting that matches its concise menu of fresh, contemporary American fare and an eclectic wine list." -Molly Abraham the concept behind tallulah was born out of a love for wine, food and friends. The idea was to offer our guests a unique, comfortable experience, something reminiscent of that special dinner party at a favorite friend's house. We wanted to create a dining experience not just for our community but for ourselves. At tallulah, we have created a menu reflecting our commitment to simple, elegant, seasonal food - our farm to table approach. Reaching beyond the normal standards, we choose purveyors who encourage a growing trend toward healthier and environmentally responsible living by practicing sustainable, all natural, and/or organic farming practices. We're proud to offer an approachable, exceptional, diverse selection of wines. Our goal is to help you find the perfect wine to suit your individual palate. We try not to limit ourselves to particular areas or varietals, rather we seek a balance of old world and new world producers, appellations, and styles offering the traditional and the avant garde. Our wine and food program is about making you, our guest, happy. Our staff shares our excitement for what the pairing of great wine and food can bring. Whether it's a classic or off-beat pairing, we're always happy to talk about our food and our wine.
