Beer good, place is dirty and below average food.

Would not come back for the food at all, mediocre at best. As soon as you walk in you can tell it’s not a clean, organized place. We did have a good beer called the aphrodisiac. And even bought a growler of it. If we ever come back it would only be for the beer. My husband had a burger which he said was average at best. Homemade chips were not terrible. I had a vegan wrap, it was fresh but not very palatable, quite bland and way too much cheese. And sweet potatoe fries which were seasoned of what reminded me of KFC chicken. Three starts might be a stretch if it wasn’t for the beer.

Beer and early lunch

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on our way up north. We sat on the brewery side at the bar. We ordered a flight. We both really enjoyed the beers. I asked the bartender for recommendations and she was great. I ordered the hanni with bbq sauce. I was good with the chips and it came with fries, which I was little bummed about. The chips are homemade and the fries are not. My husband got the brisket sandwich. He said it was very good. He would have preferred the bbq on the side because the meat was delicious and the bbq sauce was meh. Their menu literally has EVERYTHING!

I came in around 3 pm to have my lunch/ dinner after a long flight. I ordered bacon cheeseburger with extra lettuce, no potatoes, no bun. when the order came, I got a tiny leaf of lettuce that only cover 1/2 of the meat, a tiny slice of tomato and the burger. No bacon, but I got charged for bacon burger!

Still bad food. Tried Crankers again after my brother in law said their dinner was good. After eating, we think he must have had a different chef or something. I hadn't eaten in 2 days and was starving but still didn't finish the meal. Hashbrowns were somehow dehydrated but inedible. Omelet had cheap sliced cheese on inside which made it waxy.

Dinner while on a visit

My husband and I were in town to visiting family and we had dinner here the night before we left. I ordered a wet burrito and my husband ordered two coney island hot dogs and cole slaw with an appetizer of beer pretzels. We thought the food was very good. The burrito was tasty and wet (ranchero sauce, not chile sauce). The conies were good as was the chili on them. The beer pretzels were we okay. Either they were nuked or our knives were dull as they were difficult to cut. We'd go back.

Sorry to see this local restaurant going downhill since our last visit. The service was very slow despite the place being empty. I do think that the waitress did the best she could under the circumstances. My chopped steak meal was almost inedible. The meat was a thin burger covered in gravy and was over cooked, dry and very salty. The mashed potatoes were very bland and tasted like they were made from a dry box mix. The mixed vegetables were over cooked and also salty. This place advertises that they serve fresh food, but there was nothing fresh in my meal. Tasted worse than a frozen TV dinner. Very disappointing and we will not be returning.

Great place to eat & drink good beers. Our food, service and beers were amazing & we'll be back again when in the area. Our waitress Lindsey was awesome as this was our first time here and she was very informative & helpful. Thank you to all that worked that night as we did eat late, but you all provided great food & service!

Very slow. Waited a very long time to try the porter, which was alright, not the greatest. Then we waited to get our order in, was missing a part of the sides. The bathrooms were disgusting, men’s toilets were clogged. We finally had to get up and pay at the bar. Not worth the time if your traveling. I do not recommend.

The appetizers and sandwiches were very good. The attention from the wait staff was not real good. The wait staff were very friendly and pleasant but not real attentive! We will definitely give them another try when we are back in town! They did have all the seating set up socially distanced from each other and the staff all wore face masks.

Sad to see this place go downhill...

This actually pains me to write this review. Cranker's Brewery has been a tradition of my husband and I's for years... probably close to 10+. Whenever we are going "Up North" we stop in BR and go to Cranker's. We have always been big fans of their beer and food. Fifth Voyage Porter has been one of my favorites for years! The bbq, sandwiches, saganaki, etc were always very good and kept us coming back. Over the last few years, mainly after COVID, things have started to decline. The restaurant itself always looks as thought there are some sort of updates going on, but nothing appears to be done, just disarray and mess - this last time there were pieces of the booths propped up as if they were just painted and they were drying and dry wall patches everywhere... and a thick coat of dust on all the tables and a trash bin of construction material overflowing near the bar. It seemed as though they just stopped what they were doing and left everything, not as if they were expecting guests to come in and eat. This last visit was the one that probably stops our tradition. While the service was great, the food was not. Fried pickles appetizer was very greasy (yes, I realize they are fried but these were dripping.) Our server brought out 3 and let us know she was making the kitchen remake the rest as they put 3 plain pickles on the plate with no breading. They were out of pulled pork (we arrived at 4:30pm on a Friday night) so we couldn't get the cuban we wanted. We settled on the cesar wrap and nacho appetizer. The cesar wrap was average and was very understuffed - wouldn't order again. The nachos were not good. They were so greasy - probably a combination of the greasy ground beef (with no seasoning detected), copious amounts of shredded cheese and then a thick layer of nacho cheese. Overkill on the onions, too. Boys had chicken tenders and a grilled cheese, standard - no complaints from them. The insult to injury was ordering a 6 pack of the Fifth Voyage to go and drinking them later that night to realize they tasted like metal and nothing like the draft version. So disappointing. Sad to see this place go downhill...

Ordered shredded barbecue pork dinner. It included one side and all you could eat salad bar. It was quite delicious and generous portion. Originally we wanted a baked potato (side which was listed) but those are served after 4 pm.
