Enjoyed our meal

We visited while the pandemic was still with us. We all felt the restaurant did a good job blocking off tables, cleaning, wearing masks & offering hand sanitizer. That said, the food was also very tasty. I had cheese enchiladas with grilled shrimp which were pretty good. Hubby & MIL shared the fajita and there was plenty for them to split. Their only comment was the beef was a little chewy, but shrimp & chicken were fine. If we returned to the area we would eat here again.

Muy Delisioso!!!!!

Delicious! We stumbled on this place on a Sunday evening after we parked our camper in the area. I cannot rave about their food & service enough. We had chips & salsa (all made fresh every day) with Queso cheese dip and it’s a test of true skill not to fill yourself on them before the dinners arrived quickly. I ordered the fajita carnitas and some of the best I have ever had. Our server, Salvadore, recommended it over just the regular carnitas and I’m glad he did. It came with lots of tortillas, rice, beans, salad mix, sour cream & guacamole. My husband ordered the Shrimp Diablo and simply loved it. It was very spicy with a smoky chipotle undertone that he just devoured. I also had one of their mango margaritas and again sooo yummy. Highly recommend this place and try to ask for Salvadore, he was the best!!!!

Our 2nd visit here was very good

This is the 2nd time we have dined at this location while passing through this area of Michigan. Its not the very best Mexican food that we have ever eaten but...its a solid choice, clean and friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices and good service. Our service was fast, our food came as ordered and was fresh and hot. We would eat here again given our 2 dining experiences at this location. Enjoy! J.

Good food !!

We were looking for a new place to eat while in big Rapids and came across El burrito, I’m sure glad we did. The food is really good the service is great. We have tried different things on the menu and I’ve never been disappointed every time we’re in the big Rapids area we plan on going there and we have been there quite a few times already.

Tasty Mexican

Very tasty Mexican food. Nice service. Taco salad was a nice size, not huge. Chips were super fresh, salsa was delicious. Fajitas were super flavorful. We will definitely be back.

NO room for a solo diner

I went to El Burrito as I often do. It was a Saturday night a pretty busy. When the hostess got to me, I told her I was a party of one. I know her. I eat there often. She offered me a seat at the bar. I declined. She said that they did not have room for a single diner. I said that I had been eating there for 16 years and that I would not return.

Good, solid Mexican food

Good to have El Burrito as an option (will be working in Big Rapids regularly). Fun, bright decor. Prompt service (yay, Kara!), food was good if a bit tame. They do have 3 kinds of hot sauce (but might want to clean off the tops a little more diligently).

Great meal.

We had the grilled shrimp with grilled veggies. The entire meal was delicious. Service was above average. All in all it was a good experience. We would go back again.

That's a Spicy Meal!!

Great Mexican food!!! ... a good variety of selections (too many?) and all have been good! The Shrimp taco salad is a favorite...and the quesadillas and the burritos... and the tacos.... and the chips and salsa (and queso) while waiting for the orders...good, good, good!

Me and my wife thought the food was ok, but not great. Nothing else was open so we tried it. The food was just pretty bland, in our opinion. Service was typical for a place like this.
