The smell of their fresh pita oven is so tempting. Ugh. The fresh pita smells so good. We ordered the hummus chicken zesty gallaba with hummus, salad and a lentil soup and a chicken kafta with grilled veggies and a salad with an upgrade to...a bigger salad, fresh OJ, fresh lemon lime juice and a small hummus. The pita pocket is so good, we indulged in one each. Their garlic sauce and the salsa is good with the pita. I could eat an entire basket of pita, easily. The salsa is tart, has capers in it. The lentil looks thick and chunky, it’s pretty good. The house full size salad is a good size for me, onions could be thinner, almost a rough cut sized for a salad. I would ask for the dressing on the side, it’s kind of swimming in the dressing, which is good, but there’s a lot of it. The small hummus is good. The hummus chicken zesty gallaba is good, it’s a good portion too. The chicken kafta is pretty moist and definitely cooked. They made it spicy with some chili pepper seeds, it’s has a nice kick to it. The grilled veggies are a bit too charred for me though and wasn’t edible. The portions here are bigger than some places. I was only able to eat 1.5 chicken kafta and that was hard enough. The chicken gallaba was also a quite a good amount of food too. Could it be the one pita filing up half of my belly already? I wanted to roll out of here after dinner. Our waitress, Rumania is nice and friendly too and accommodating with our menu.More

Our waitress was very attentive and nice. Our food was served quickly. There were a couple of things that turned us off. The tongs for the desserts fell on the floor. One of the employees picked them up and placed it back on the dessert...tray and used the dirty tongs instead of replacing them with fresh ones. They have paper table clothes. A fresh table cloth fell on the floor and a staff member picked it up and placed it back on the table. If this was happening in front of their customers, I would hate to see what was happening in the kitchen. Again our waitress was great snd the food was good. We will not be back. We were completely turned off by the actions of the staff.More

This was only a take-out experience for us, but it was an exceptional dining experience nonetheless. We enjoyed the Hummus, Baba Ghannoj, Crushed Lentil and Chicken Lemon Rice soups, and Chicken and Lamb Shawarmas. I am certainly not a Mediterranean food expert, but the (seemingly...authentic) flavors were complex and fresh, and the meats were juicy and tender. The hummus was silky smooth and the eggplant was perfectly prepared. In short, it was a deliciously memorable meal. I’m looking forward to my next visit.More

The best Middle Eastern Restaurant in Belleville, Michigan. Friendly staff, clean, ample space. Toum, Hummus, Bread, Tabouli, Baba Ghanouge, Tomato Kibbe, Falafel, Vegeratian Maza, Mjadra, etc. are vegan. Say that you are a vegan while ordering.

Trying to be fair is difficult when it comes to what we like, and don't about a restaurant. We saw the positive TV review of the Kabob Garden, and since we enjoy Middle Eastern dishes, and being closer to our home than going to East...Dearborn, we gave it a try. From Garlic Sauce, to Pita Bread, to their Spinach Pie - it left us disappointed. The Garlic Sauce was too strong. It's consistency was alright, a little more coarse than we're used to. It's taste was just overpowering on our tongues. The Pita bread, though warm and soft, was not the thinner pocket-type we've had for dipping and stuffing Fattoush salad into - dipping that into the Garlic Sauce - and we're living it up. The Spinach Pie, we should have known would not be the Greek Phyllo Dough type of spinach pies.It was just softer dough, and too different of a mixture and taste. Something we didn't care for. However, all that being said, the Fattoush Salad was delicious. And with the very tasty Char-Grilled Chicken, it was a great salad. Next time we'll order just the salad. And we'll a whole lot happier.More

Original one star review in February 2018: Bizarre experience. I've heard good things about this restaurant, so I took my wife to order some take-out today. We walked in and there was no one there to seat us and no sign to seat yourself. Since...we wanted take-out anyway, we waited by the register and looked over the menu. Only four tables were occupied with two waitresses working. Not once did either of the waitresses look our way. We stood, then sat, then stood again and waited for at least 10 minutes. Nothing. At one point, a waitress stood in full view of us, waiting for something to do. I have no idea why they have such good reviews. We couldn't even get someone to serve us there. We finally walked out. This was so bizarre and so disappointing. I don't think we'll try again. Update May, 2019: My wife and I finally went back to Kabob Garden with her 88 year-old mother wanting some Mediterranean food. We were not disappointed. We were greeted with a smile by a young lady as soon as we entered and were seated immediately. The service and food were very good and now I know we will eat here again. I spoke with Moe, the owner, but only after we had been served and were enjoying our meal. He was gracious and didn't even ask me to change my review. But here it is. Apparently our bizarre experience a year ago was highly unusual. I'm glad we went back. Thanks, Moe and Nikai (our server).More

Absolutely great food! There is a huge menu, something for everybody. A wonderful garlicky dipping sauce is provided with fresh hot bread. Even the rice has a wonderful flavor that I haven't been able to identify. The servings are huge. Great carry out menu too.

I love Kabob Garden. The food is always fresh and tastes great. Nice quiet atmosphere and accommodating staff. The hummus is super smooth and the best I have had anywhere. The bread is absolutely delicious and fresh made.

Everything we have had here has been delicious. I'm in love with the fresh pita bread and everything else we have had on the menu. Plus you really get a lot of food for your money. This is worth a visit.

A friend and I stopped here for dinner on a Tuesday after work. I rarely eat 'exotic' foods but I thoroughly enjoyed this place. We started with bread, hummous and garlic paste... the bread was warm and soft, and the dips both delicious. We tried...the stuffed grape leaf (with meat) appetizer, which was good, but I've had the Detroit 'Greektown' version, which I found bigger and better. My friend ordered Kibbee, and I was surprised that I actually liked, though it reminded me of the hush puppies you used to get at fish places. The lentil soup was good, but too spicy for my taste. The star of the night, by far, was the Kabob. Oh my GOD. It was like the best steak I've ever eaten. Perfectly cooked (I ordered medium and it had a slight pink center), you could cut it with a butter knife, it had he perfect amount of smoke flavor, and was the most tender meat I think I've ever eaten. SOOOO delicious. I'm going back just for that, and taking more friends. We ended with rice pudding, which was okay, but had a 'perfumey' taste to me. My friend said it might be rose water, which is used often in mediterranean dishes. That sounds about right. It wasn't bad, just not my taste. Oh, and it was very quiet that night (except for the hoards getting take-out). So the waitress was very attentive (and very nice).More
