A few coworkers recommended we go here for lunch. The catfish beignet are amazing! Their batter is so rich and delicious. Dipping sauce is in a league of it's own. This drinks are strong. The buffet is unbeatable if you ask me. Quality food for...sure. I cannot wait to returnMore

My review is based on my 3 experiences here before lock down. I lived in New Orleans for 11 years and this place gave me a little of home. The portions are huge-I'ma. greedy eater and I always leave with a to go box. The...food is fresh and well seasoned. Is it spicy like New Orleans food, no. But this is Belleville, MI (no offense) not spice capital of America. I think the flavoring is great for this area and the portions are generous. I also think the vibe is very much Lousiana.More

Food was overcooked rice over cooked mushy, fried fish and shrimp overcooked. Shrimp and fish had too much breading on them and both were soft and mushy no flavor. Service was slow. They kept bringing me wrong food and forgetting to bring my complete order....Waitress asked at time we ordered did we want bread while we wait for order, we said yes we, we never received any break. Just not a good dining experience at all. Will not be going back.More

I have not been here for a few years and was disappointed. The service and atmosphere were great but portion size was really “cheap” and it showed on the presentation. We had a calamari appetizer and the symmetrically pieces of deep fried calamari barely covered...the plate. 1st, this says to me the appetizer was not necessarily fresh and came from a frozen bag and second the kitchen staff were obviously inexperienced. The main entree’s came and my dates salmon plate was fine but I ordered a shrimp platter with sweet potato fries. My shrimp looked sparse on the large plate and I literally counted 7 individual sweet potato fries that lay flat on the big plate next to the tiny shrimp. I won’t return for a long time if ever.More

This was our first visit. My husband ordered the combination platter. It had shrimp, catfish, scallops, oysters, coleslaw & a vegetable medley. The service was very good and so easy the food.

We returned to find the Bayou Grill has changed. Food was average and nothing special this time. Prices seemed high for average food. Will not return. Not sure rating is so high on web.

It was on a Tuesday afternoon around 1:00 I walked into Bayou Grill. I had been here before but wanted to try another item. I had my mind set on the Muffuletta Sandwich. I was shown to a booth and ordered a Sweet Iced tea....The tea was cold and just the right amount of sweetness. The pitcher mug was cool too. I looked over the menu but I already knew what my choice was. The Service was quick only a few minutes between ordering and the foods arrival. The first thing I noticed is that it was not on authentic round Italian bread. The bread was good. Crusty on the outside and tender on the inside but shaped like most Italian bread you will find in any store. The next thing I noticed was the lack of Olive salad. I had to look hard to find a small thin layer on the bottom of my sandwich. It was not very flavorful. It lacked the garlic & oregano. I could see a few of the items but they were diced up so finely that they were almost a paste. Very few olives in the “Olive Salad”. The sandwich was nicely toasted which I didn’t mind and the cheeses and meats were plentiful. The fries were good as my side option but I have to say I was very disappointed in the Muffuletta. Everything else I have had here in the past has been high on my list but this time they missed the mark. I have made better Olive Salad at home & I am in no way a chef. The visit had it’s redeeming values. Great fries and the Sweet Tea terriffic. Service was average. I saw my waitress a few times in passing and she did check on me regularly. Atmosphere Rather dark on the inside but nicely decorated with Mardi Gras items. Plenty of purple green and yellow colors. I did like the alligator hanging above the seating area and the Artwork. Noise Level Good. Normal talking level. Sports on TV’s in the background Meal Bourbon Street Muffuletta with fries $8.99. Sweet Tea $ 2.79 Total $12.49 tax included. Wheelchair Access The restaurant is at street level, Double doors no barriers. My Rating: 1 Star Ratings range from zero to four stars. Zero is poor, One star, good. Two stars, very good. Three stars, excellent. Four stars, extraordinary (almost impossible to achieve)More

I have dined here no more than one occasion. The food it's normally good the service used to be great. However this time the wait staff continuously ignored our table as we looked for assistant by constantly calling out excuse me excuse me as the...wait staff walked by. being ignored and later disrespected as there was a wait staff sitting right on the other side of the booth from us hearing are called to staff. She never offered any assistance and only hurried off to our waitress after our complaints about her poor service. There has been an occasion we went to the facility and was totally ignored as we stood at the front desk waiting for someone to acknowledge our presents. As we saw several staff members walking by, looking at us, and no one acknowledged our presence until we decided to leave the facility. This was my last visit there.More
