We did not want bar food so stopped at the only place we could find that offered other than sandwiches. This was a nice surprise with a full bar. A larger menu for a small town and the food was very good. Service was amazing too. But they do close at 8 during the week.

We loved the quaint town of Bellaire! We ate breakfast at toonies and it was delicious! My husband had French toast, and I had an omelet. It tasted so good! We liked our waitress, and will return if we are in the area again.

Went mid-afternoon on a Tuesday. Good ambience. Very few people in restaurant. Seated immediately. Server was very friendly and efficient. We started w/ fried pickles appetizer. Very good. Entrees (Reuben sandwich and open-faced hot beef sandwich) followed soon after. Portions were large. Food was okay but nothing special.

We came quite late but they still welcomed us with a warm smile and served us willingly. The appetizers were very good. We had the cheese bacon totters, which were superb. We also had the deep fried pickles, and that was an out of this world experience. To the point that we ordered them twice more. There are no words... More

My Dad was lured here by the Friday night fish fry. My mom and I had salads. He thoroughly enjoyed the fish and couldn't even eat any more than the initial serving. And order comes with fries and coleslaw. We loved the fresh loaf of warm bread served to us after our drink and order was taken. The knife however... More

We came to Bellaire to try "Short's" for dinner, but so did everyone in the county. We might have waited the 45 minutes to get a table, but many of the others waiting were very obnoxious and we didn't care to be with them that long. So we walked down the street to Toonies, and we're glad we did. The... More
