They made an outdoor seating area in the parking lot, brilliant in the time of Covid-19. We saw staff wearing staff, albeit not happy staff but the service was efficient. Our corn beef sandwiches came with sweet potato fries. Priced reasonably at $7.99.
We stopped in for lunch, after hitting the antique stores. There was a chili cook off contest going on in town, which seemed to delay the service a bit, because groups of people would come in to get they're chili to taste. The waitress was...friendly. The food was typical bar food. With the exception of the potato au gratin soup. It was excellent. And that's coming from someone who isn't that big on potato soup, but tried it, because it was different. Prices were reasonable.More
This place is okay, but nothing outstanding! We have tried most other places in Bay City and even though the reviews were not good we thought we would give it a try.
I knew to expect greasy bar food and that's pretty much what they...have got.
Our waitress was very good. She was friendly and service was spot on. My only complaint would be that when she told me the sides that came with my chicken dinner, I thought one of the choices was baked potato and that's what I ordered. When she delivered the mail it look like a little cup of mashed potatoes with bacon sprinkled on top of it. She said it was a twice baked potato. She quickly realized my misunderstanding and offered me a substitution after she delivered the food.
I got the Santa Fe chicken dinner and since I wasn't sure about the barbecue sauce I asked for it on the side. The chicken was good and had melted cheese on it and then I just cut it up and dipped it in the barbecue sauce. That dinner came with a salad and I got thousand Island dressing which was pretty good.
My friend got a captain jacks fish sandwich with a side of potato salad. He seemed to enjoy his sandwich and he had such a large sandwich that he brought half home. He also enjoyed his potato salad and when he asked the waitress if it was fresh made in house she said "no it was made by Gordon's"!! Too bad - since she could've said they slaved over the kitchen for days since he enjoyed it so much but she kind of ruined the moment!!More

Where does the greasy bar food come into play ? You got a Santa Fe chicken dinner which you said was good. I am sorry for the mix up on the baked potato as we serve a twice baked potato that people really enjoy. Both...More
Tavern 101 lost out because they close at 9 p.m. during the week for some reason so off to Mulligan's we went. We enjoyed the sweep the floor burger and the gyro. Cold beer and great service. I have and will return.
