Overrated but still good. I was expecting more elevated authentic Spanish tapas and got what I consider “bar tapas.” Stick to the simple stuff because they butchered the octopus. The wagyu sliders tasted like mini Big Mac’s. The service was great but the ambiance reminded...me of a TGIF. 3/5More

Terrific menu! So many varied plates we didn’t know where to start. It’s a great way to sample new things if you’ve never had it before, or get a chance to eat some stuff you love that you don’t see on a menu that often.

First time back since learning about Bocado in Providence some years ago. The fried goat cheese, fried potatoes, and veggie paella are still excellent. Friends also had pulpo, bacon wrapped scallops, and their seafood paella.

My wife and I enjoyed the grand re-opening of The Hanover Theatre this evening. As we live in NH and aren't familiar with the food scene in Worcester, we asked my brother-in-law for a recommendation. He suggested Bocada... and since it was #2 on the...TA list of restaurants, we decided to pay a visit. SO glad we did!! The first sign we made a good choice is the fact we did not have a reservation and were told Bocada was booked for the entire night. It was the bar or someplace else, so we eagerly grabbed the last two seats at the bar. The bartender/ waiter was Dan, and he was outstanding... he enhanced our overall experience, which is an increasingly rare skill set. We ordered the 2-person "experience". Initially, I chuckled at the term "experience", but after dining there I understand, as it was an EXPERIENCE! We had the Serrano ham and Manchego cheese on our charcuterie board. The ham was lean and the cheese was sharp... and both were VERY tasty. The baguette that accompanied the meat / cheese was warm and perfectly crisp. We were off to a great start! We had four Tapas: the pork bellies, mussels, braised short ribs and Wagyu sliders. Yes, we were carnivores this evening - lol. The wagyu (kobe beef) sliders were delicious... and the least of the four SMALL plates. Of the other three dishes, my first observation is that the portion sizes were quite substantial - NOT always the case at a Tapas restaurant (see my pictures). The broth the mussels were prepared in was excellent, and required extra bread to sop up the excess! The pork bellies and short ribs were both served with mashed potatoes, and were tremendous. By the time they brought the "small" paella out, we were already full.. yet, here came a sizeable paella, loaded with shrimp, calamari and white fish (most notably). The Paella was thrown in the oven for a few minutes before being served, creating a nice crisp on the top of the rice. Fabulous! Finally, we had churros and chocolate for dessert. It was too much food! We brought half the Paella home with us, but didn't want to bring the churros home... so the lucky young man who sat next to us and chatted us up during dinner got an extra special treat - he got to finish OUR dessert! We live 75 minutes from Worcester... and we are already talking about driving back just so we can return to Bocada and try some of the other items on the menu. It was THAT good... seriously!More

It is a Spanish restaurant and pub. At least it is distinguished by Spanish-style tapas and paellas. We taste hot and cold tapas. Accompanied by a seafood paella. This is the second time I have seen the place. This time the paella came hot and...tasted better. But since we ordered, we finished the paella and the lamb chops still had not arrived, the service was good, the wait for the kitchen was terrible. There is private parking (which you pay for) quite close.More

It has parking near the restaurant. The specialty are "paellas" and "tapas". We tried different tapas. The best are the Serrano ham and Manchego cheese. The octopus is excellent. We decided on the seafood parlla. It was good for this kind of food. For drinks...we tried the two sangrías, but they weren't to our liking. I do not recommend them.More

We were looking for a wine bar. Sadly two of the four wines we ordered turned out to be cheap, low end wines hardly worth drinking. The best bet is to skip the wine altogether. Instead their Mai Tias are not to be missed. As...for the food, we were encouraged to get the $84 special for 2 people. It turned out to be way too much food and we ended up taking home half of it. Ordering one or two tapas each is more than enough. By the way, we had no idea what a tapa was! It turns out to be a small portion of some food. There have many! choose from venison to seafood to braised beef. Each is gourmet caliber delicious. We liked the beef on mashed potatoes the best. Compared to the tapas, the dessert of chocolate sauce on big baked cheese twists but without the cheese, was one bite and done, not worth eating. Also our server was missing in action most of the night. Nex time we go back, we're getting two mai tais each, and an order of braised beef each. that's the perfect amount unless you're really hungry..More

The wife and I stopped in here for Tapas for our date night. Loved that they had a free valet there! Our server Lindsey was outstanding even though as our meal went on we could tell she got slammed. This didn’t stop her from being...attentive to us. A+. I thought the food was really good overall. The wife doesn’t like goat cheese and I’m not a fan of feta. That being said, if you’re not a fan of either then be sure to ask about what you’re ordering before you pull the trigger. We did the $80 tour thing they had and it included a meat and a cheese, 6 Tapas and a desert. Well worth the price. I enjoyed almost everything. The Brisket was amazing as was the fried goat cheese! I want to be clear that the potatoes I didn’t like and the other things my wife didn’t like were due to us not liking that particular cheese that was in the dish. The execution of the plates were perfect. Overall I would say that it got 3 1/2 out of 4 but our waitress kicked the rating up to 4 out of 5. We would definitely go back.More

Great Valentine’s dinner. Everything was great, from the ambiance to the service to food. The only disappointment was that I did request a candle on dessert as it was my husband birthday and I never got it. A must.

If you haven’t experienced a tapas restaurant or are overwhelmed by the choices on this menu go for one of the tastings. It breaks the menu down into sections to chose from. We had 5 people and went with the 4 person tasting that included...a paella. This was plenty of food. We had 3 guys and 2 girls eating. You choose your items to share and each dish comes out one at time. It’s fun to try dishes this way as a group. I love tapas style restaurants so I knew the concept but others in our group didn’t. But all thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. By the time the paella came we were all stuffed and boxed it too go. I had ordered the paella as I was worried about portions but we didn’t need it even with big eaters in the group. It was a great item to take home and enjoy the next day. Great service and wonderful food. I will go back again.More

Great selection of wine and even better sangria. We always sit...at the bar and enjoy the company of Veronica. She is the best bartender in Worcester! Highly recommend!More

Came for a light meal and some drinks prior to a show across the street. We started in the bar area at a tiny table, then moved to a table up in the back part of the dining room. Food was good, drinks were better....Coconut flan for dessert was tasty, and ultra smooth. Prices are bit high, but you're in a nice spot - come early on busy nights!More
