Excellent food, outstanding service. Italian fonduta is a unique and tasty appetizer. The squash blossoms from a local farm (served as a salad) were excellent. Spit roasted suckling pig, braised pork shank and Idaho trout were all great, shrimp scampi and chicken parmesan were very good. The pork shank and the trout were served with no vegetables, which detracted from... More

Via is one of my favorite restaurants in Worcester. Love the ambiance, menu, and desserts! Always a great experience.

The food was great, however, every meal is overpriced for the amount of food you get on your plate. The staff disappear and don't check to see how you are doing until you catch their eye and waved them over to your table.

I had always wanted to try Via, but was very disapointed. My water glass was dirty, my wine glass was dirty AND my wife's wine glass was dirty. Perhaps the staff should be trained to look at what they serve rather than worrying about serving with their arm behind their back. Food ok not great. Lastly, my credit card came... More

I hadn't been to Via in years. I went about 6 years ago late night and the appetizers at the bar were terrible. I went about 5 years ago for lunch and the gnocci was undercooked the sauce was tasteless. I had been told recently that a lot had change and I should give it another chance. When a friend... More

We enjoyed eating our meals on the patio on a lovely summer evening. After a round of drinks, our party of four shared an appetizer, consumed delicious meals, shared desserts, and finished our celebration with a toast. Of special note was the pork belly appetizer, raspberry mojito, herb and crumb crusted haddock, spaghetti and meatballs, creme brûlée, and crepe cake.... More

This was an unplanned visit when the restaurant we went to was closed. Good luck for us! Each dish that we ordered was superb with generous portions. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. Wonderful setting on the patio.

The shrimp scampi was awesome, the right amount for a lunch. The Blood Mary was very tasty. The bread served for lunch was thick and crunchy.

Interesting selection of northern Italian dishes with an emphasis on Pork dishes. The Pork belly appetizer was excellent (albeit pretty small for the$9 price) as was the calamari. The seafood oreccetti was excellent but the roast suckling pig (one of their specialties), was over flavored with tarragon(?) and was modest in size given the $25 price tag. Given that Pork... More

Casual sophistication! Meeting up with some friends and having appetizers and drinks is ideal at Via. The food was delicious! Hightop tables and chairs, next to the bar, or at regular booth or table seating, you can find a nook to chat, chill, and chow.

Description
In the beautiful hills of Tuscany, and in the cities and villages that dot the countryside we discovered a simple food paradise which we were eager to bring closer to home. We created VIA to offer you those culinary gems from our visits to Italy in combination with old family recipes, as well as American favorites. VIA captures the rare rustic charm of Italian cooking and dining. Italians love to eat outdoors, so we have created a beautiful four-season patio at VIA, so our guests can dine al fresco whenever possible. VIA is the essence of Italian dining - full of charm and great aromas with our open kitchen, complete with brick-oven bread, baked daily; hearty meats, such as tenderloin, pork and chicken slowly turning and roasting on our spit, and the joys of gelato being created right before your eyes. Like Italy, our inspiration, VIA is a picture of contrasts. The restaurant is both urban and rural, sophisticated and casual, old world and remarkably new. It is a place where singles mingle with families, where private conversations are had among festive celebrations. With this environment and our attention to detail where fresh good foods are concerned, the simple act of dining feels like a joyous occasion. In Italian, VIA means "the way." Come to VIA and enjoy "the way" we embrace our travel memories, our family recipes, and American traditions which are so important to us.
