Visiting Worchester twice in 2019, we visited the Wonder Bar upon a friends recommendation. We understood the pizza to be very good. Unfortunately by our standards, not. Pizza was barely average. Sat at bar and the bartender seemed more interested in speaking with her colleague....Draft beer was fine. Disappointing twice. Not to return. The restaurants reputation is old, perhaps a new look at its operation would be helpful.More

When our favorite thin crust pizza joint moved to another town, I've been on a quest to find a decent replacement. We saw the Wonder Bar on Phantom Gourmet, touting their classic thin crust pizza, so we decided to check it out. I ordered the...cheeseburger pizza and not only was the crust much thicker than I was expecting, the pizza was pretty bland for all the toppings that were on it. My husband had the veal parmigiana, which was a generous plate full of food and he enjoyed it. I'd go back but would probably steer clear of the pizza. . . The menu is very extensive, so I know I could find something else I'd likely prefer.More

Hadn't been here in 25+ years but had read back when it was sold that new owners had agreed not to change the pizza magic. They did. $13 for a small cheese pizza that feeds two? Probably wouldn't feed two REALLY hungry people. They've always...been known for thin crust pizza but this was extra thin. The crust alone - when you get some with no cheese and no sauce - has zero taste. Cardboard. The cheese/sauce (not sure which) is lacking the very satisfying taste it used to have. Something's missing. The toppings are not generously applied, either. Bottom line, I was disappointed with the pizza and really put off by the price. I did see some pasya enteees being carried to tables - they seemed to contain enough food for at LEAST two meals. Maybe that's the way to go. Beer menu is very bland and basic. Nice cozy atmosphere. Service was ... Ok. Servers were polite but pizza order was wrong first time around (they made a new one). Couldn't get anyone's attention for a drink refill. Restaurant was mostly empty at the time.More

Great pizza, good service, good prices, great value. The wait staff are attentive and helpful, the menu has a nice variety of Italian food and the prices are reasonable.

We went there because it was featured on TV on the Phantom Gourmet. However, I was disappointed with the pizza. It was greasy and too much cheese. The service was fine. The waitress was attentive and the atmosphere was unique - old time. I won't...go back there for pizza. There are better pizza places in Worcester.More

If you’re searching for a small local pizza place & you also need gluten free openings then you should definitely check out Wonder Bar. They, as the name implies, have a wonderful wrap around bar plus they have several tables from 2-8 people. The food...was good and the gluten free pizza crust was delicious and crispy (both of these can be hard to pull off)More

Don't know what the new owners did to this legendary establishment but if they keep it up they want to worry. Because they won't have any more customers. Most of the food especially the pizza has all but lost its taste & quality!

We used to eat here ages ago when we were in school in Worcester. A recent tv spot reminded us to try it again. Very disappointed. Ordered wings and a pizza ~3pm on a Saturday. Both came at once, and both were just warm (you'd...expect one hot and the other cooled down if they came out together). Pizza was barely warm, wings were sort of hot and crispy on the outside but not steaming (as they usually are right out of the fryer) but lukewarm on the inside. Later we noticed the waitress bringing another tables' pizza holding the metal tray with hands on the bottom: that pizza too did not just come out of the oven, being handled like that. Oh well.....More

Small, busy but accommodating. Pizza was great, beer good, quick service.I got the impression customers didn't stay long, just called in, had a drink and food then left, which is great when it's what you need.

Took my unfinished salad before i was was done and didn’t ask. Ordered pizza with artichoke and it came with anchovies. Owner doesn’t seem to care. Been going there for 50 years and these new smart guys have it all wrong. Antipasto salad with tuna...comes with a scoop of tuna salad. Italian?? I don’t think so. Last time thereMore

Yes I believe they are prices from the new owners. The prices are actually very reasonable for the quantity of food. 2 small plain pizzas and a pitcher of Bud is $25.
