The view is probably the best I have seen in Falmouth/Woods hole. Great decorations and atmosphere. The Cajun salmon was the best salmon I’ve ever had and the oysters were very fresh. 10/10 would recommend. It is slightly more expensive than other nearby options, but...very worth the extra $5-10.More

Friendly and fast service. Tasty food and ice cold beer. The waiter and hostess were so accommodating to our needs outside.

After touring the lighthouse and hiking to the Knob we did idea to stop for late lunch. The restaurant was crowded so we had a 25 minute wait. They had tables outside for those waiting and the ferries coming and going made the wait easy,...We had one lobster bisque which my husband said was delicious and one clam chowder that was very good . Never hearing of Quohag we decided to share one. It was minced clam with breading a spices baked in a clam shell. We both decided to have the fried seafood combo of shrimp, scod, scallops and clams. The clams were the star of the dish. You could have many sides to choose from. Our service was excellent and felt very safe in the restaurant.More

Lobster role was flavorless -- the lobster had evidently been refrigerated for a long time and was cold. It is really hard to mess up a lobster roll if you use fresh lobster, but that wasn't the case here. Fried clams were disappointing. They must...have been frozen first and then overcooked. Both the lobster bisque and the clam chowder were mediocre. Tasted a bit like the flour thickener.More

We dined on a Tuesday evening, not much available in town. But this place had good reviews, so why not? Place was hopping, nice ambience. We waited a very long time for seating and then a long time to be served. We were not able...to sit outside at the waterfront. But the food was possibly the worst seafood we've eaten in a high-end restaurant. Hubby's shrimp in the Broiled Seafood Platter was all rubbery, he almost turned it back in. My Seafood Newburg looked great but the shrimp were rubbery and the red sauce tasted very fake like they ran out of sherry, cream and butter and substituted food coloring and corn starch. The salad was so light, just a few lettuce leaves and not much else. They were out of some food items we wanted. This was our first meal of an 8-day trip. It was the worst and the most expensive meal. We joked in advance that the bread that came before the meal was just toast, nothing fancy, but it tasted better (though cold) than anything else. The meal cost over $100 and we were extremely sad at such a poor experience. We vowed to find a "good seafood restaurant" in NEW ENGLAND. We found much better than this place, but it left a very bad taste is our mouths.More

We snagged a table on the patio just prior to the lunch rush--there is no water-side outdoor dining and we were not willing to dine indoors so considered ourselves lucky. The service on the patio was fine--neither rushed nor slow--and the people watching was enjoyable....The food was fine as well--good oysters, a huge piece of fish on my partner's fish sandwich, a surprisingly small "small Caesar salad" (at least they didn't skimp on the anchovies). A glass of Albariño was a delightful accompaniment to the oysters; they even had a good non-alcoholic beer option for my non-imbibing partner. I'd try it for dinner, as long as I could be assured of an outdoor table.More

We went here second year in a row on Labor Day weekend while staying in Falmouth. We made reservations ahead of time which was great we were allowed to do so. Upon getting there on time for reservations we considered having a cocktail first to...wait for a seat w a great view. We were lead to the table for our reservations which was great and the woman in a very snarky tone said “still want to wait for a cocktail” which we conceded it was a great table and took a seat. She may have been joking but it came off as very off putting. Next we ordered drinks, salad and entrees. Services was fast! At the end of our meal My husband had his drink to finish and we wanted dessert. We asked the waitress to allow us to finish our drink and then we would order dessert and she said the there was “a wait at the door”…basically saying “no you can’t finish your drink” and then order dessert. While I understand their dilemma there were many other ways to address a table that overstays which was not us. We finished dinner in less than an hour. Even Charlie baker recognizes that 90 minutes is sufficient time for a meal. Again we were still just under an hour of sitting so we did not over stay. We will never go to this restaurant again. And to be honest it is overrated and probably gets as much business because it’s one of a few places in woods hole. My recommendation would be to head into Falmouth there are many other restaurants worth giving $160 to for an evening out.More

Landfall is a cool, no-frills restaurant that sits right on the water facing the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable for the Cape. We had the fried seafood platter ($20), which might not be enough if you're...ravenous, but the portion size was just enough for lunch. We also had the broiled seafood medley ($20), which contained a couple shrimp, some scallops, and a chunk or two of swordfish. It was not very large portion-wise, but again, just the right size for lunch. All told, the service was good, the prices were very reasonable, and we had no complaints about the food. I came here based on a recommendation from a family member, and I look forward to returning again in the future.More

There was a very long wait for a table, so we wound up sitting at the bar. The bartender was awesome and I was amazed at how well he juggled drink orders, food orders, and was still able to check up on diners just like...the normal wait staff. Everything we tried there was delicious. We had a great experience!More

We loved our dinner and experience at the Landfall restaurant in Woods Hole. We had a wonderful table by the water but truly any table inside was fantastic. We loved the decor! Our waiter was attentive and the food was excellent. Highly recommend.

Nice atmosphere and the outdoor decor is lovely. Our waiter was prompt and attentive throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the food does not match. The Ribeye Steak (at $49) was tasteless. It came with Lobster Risotto —-a couple of tiny pieces- and asparagus. The Risotto was...very salty. One person had a hamburger which was described as on par with what you would get at a Little League Ball game. The chowder and stuffed quahog were tasty. When the hostess came with our receipt she asked how everything was and I told her the steak had no taste. She apologized and said we should have told our server and ordered something else. During these times I have no problem if there was slow service -which there wasn’t- but the food quality should be maintained.More

My family and I went to the Landfall restaurant on Wednesday evening and we were extremely  disappointed. As you can see from the hundreds of reviews I have written on this site, it is extremely rare that I rate a restaurant as a "1", but...this experience was terrible. The atmosphere was great. The food was good. But bad service can ruin everything. From the start, the waitress had a bad attitude and was rushing us. In a fine dining establishment, service is very important. Throughout the night, the waitress continued to disappoint. When the bill arrived we found that three extra items were added to it, and the automatic tip was 19.2% rather than 18%. Due to the rude attitude and padding of the bill, we choose not to add additional gratuity on top of the 19.2%. The rude waitress had the audacity to come to the table and scream at us for not giving her "extra" tip. It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced, especially as someone who routinely tips a lot! We give credit where credit is due, and it wasnt due to her that night. The fact that she screamed at customers over a 19% tip is completely ridiculous, especially given the terrible job she was doing. The manager seemed somewhat apologetic, but we left feeling like we were being thrown out of the restaurant. We spoke with the owner a few days later, and he was also apathetic. With all the dining options in this area, I would highly recommend avoiding this place.More
