Very good food in a converted barn with funky atmosphere. Extensive dinner menu, excellent service. Very good duck with sweet cranberry sauce. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is old and needs some work. Smells very musty. We've been in old new england restaurants before and none smelled this bad, Food was mediocre. I ordered the Chicken Saltimbuca. My husband ordered the cod (schrod). The chicken was moist but not prepared...as described. A cutlet....it was not..it was a breast of chicken period. The tomato sauce tasted like diced tomatoes from a can. vegies were good. The cod was good bur not great. Oh well can't win all the time. I would not recommend this place.More

It was very interesting to read manager Zacs response to the "cruddy service" review.. He seemed to justify it due to Covid and short staffing instead of taking positive steps to explain the situation. My wife and I also waited too long for the server...to come ( despite only 5 tables taken in the dining room ). The food was not the issue here - actually, the food was quite good. However, the server never came back to see how we liked the meal, never came back to refill the water glasses and never asked my wife if she wanted another glass of wine. ( which is really a shame because you could have sold another glass ) The only time we saw the server was when the food was delivered and when we were done . If you want people to have a better attitude towards sub par service, there are things that you can do. Yes, it is commendable about your staffs dedication and yes, it is commendable to have remained open but truth is, all people want is a good meal with good service. Most people are understanding - you can turn a negative into a positive by simply explaining what has gone on and why the service may be a bit off. You do that when diners are first seated - they will get it. But just to seat someone and make them wait and give "cruddy service " will always cause resentment. Try communicating - you will be pleasantly surprised.More

Good Food, Cruddy Service There is a dearth of restaurants in the area, especially on a Tuesday evening, so we ended up here. Interesting old inn atmosphere, we ate inside. Waited about 10 minutes for anyone to come to the table. Brought us drinks, no...water / had to ask again, wrong appetizer arrived, super slow. No silverware, had to grab off another table after she dumped the wrong appetizer on the table: Food, once it finally arrived, was good. I had a lobster roll, my husband had the scrod. Other tables - in photo - uncleared after almost an hour.More

Cruddy service? Interesting viewpoint given the current status of the world we live in. Due to the ongoing global pandemic that every business has been suffering through for over the past year, the '6 House Pub is one of the only restaurants in town who...More

We returned to this Berkshire favorite place after a few years. It’s a special place and was my parents ( recently passed and live their whole lives in the Berkshires ). favorite restaurant. Always nice to return and see the same mgmt and family running...this fine restaurant. Cocktails and appetizers didn’t disappoint. Had Surf and Turf ( filet and lobster ) Everything was amazing. So good we returned for a 2nd visit with my Aunt and Uncle. All meals was awesome. The prior review from Tom l was very OFF in our opinion. This place rocks !More

We have lived in Williamstown for a decade and visited even longer and one of our must does was to grab a meal at the 06 House - that changed last night. I ordered a hamburger (what could go wrong?) and my wife a lobster...roll (ditto) . The best part of the meal was the lobster roll which, at $24, compared on par with the $5 roll from Stop and Shop. Ordered "medium rare" I was served a grey flat pattie which did not nearly cover the bun. the meat was uniformly grey - that is the surface was the same color as the interior and there was NO evidence of either grill char or of the pink interior I expected. The color, shape and size reminded me of the a well known chain but missing the juiciness which high tech consumer manufacture knows how to add. The fries were a good match for this atrocious example of tourist rip -off - they were dry and rubbery and, I have to think, stored for a significant time in a hot-cupboard or under a heat lamp. All issues indicating either an incompetent management or one maximizing profit following the lean months we have just endured. I point at management for,who else would allow four cushions to lie on the ground between tables for the whole time we were "dining" while servers, busboys and guests stepped over or around them for an hour and a half. The current situation at the '0 six house is worse than mediocrity and should be avoided. Visitors should know the Berkshires can do better, much better, than the '6 House currently doesMore

A very clean and rustic atmosphere is what you will find in this resturant! A decent array of menu items to choose from! Currently, this dinner-only restaurant serves after 5pm. I had their Lobster roll and it was very good! Staff were polite and very...service oriented. Advise getting there early as the weather gets better, parking lot is a bit small. Enjoy!More

We recently got take out burgers and fries from The '6 House Pub. We called ahead and the food was ready when they said it would be. The food was excellent. My husband has celiac so he had to have a gluten free roll, he...loved it! When we visit Williamstown again we will definitely dine here again.More

We have been here a few times and the food was always great. Today Kate suggested filet mignon and it was probably the best we have ever had.

Please please please do not listen to any of the negative reviews and please go here and make up your own mind. We discovered this place because we were looking for a great local family owned place to have a great meal. To start it...is a very home feeling classic tavern look and feel. This is not a Fridays or Applebees(much better food then those places). Please understand they have an amazing chef on site that prepares and make every single dish and it shows. My wife and I came in and were greeted by Zach who made amazing suggestions from the start. Started with the hand picked draught beer list that is truly amazing. Had 2 beers and 2 cups of the amazing french onion soup. Onto the amazing entrees. The Chicken Saltimbocca was mouth watering and full of flavor. My wife had the butternut squash raviolis with garlic bread. She is a huge fan of butternut squash raviolis and these top her list of best ever. To finish we had the NY Cheesecake that is hand made.on premise and absolutely the best(better then most NYC restaurants). In closing atmosphere was amazing, felt like I was eating in my living room. Nice fire pit outside to enjoy the beautiful air. This place is a must eat if in the Berkshires!!!!!!More
