Best Ice-Cream in the Taconics

Not inexpensive, but delicious homemade ice-cream. I partake each time I visit Williamstown (about monthly).

My sister and I came here after eating lunch at the purple pub. The ice cream was delicious. I had a maple ice cream with chocolate chips it was awesome!

Quaint spot at end of the only strip of stores in the area. It's worth walking down for the funky flavors. They were generous with the Kiddie sizes, so no need to get larger, and had substantial chips in the ice cream, so they did not skimp on ingredients. Very solid.

No trip to Williamstown is complete without a stop for ice cream. This was REALLY rich ice cream. The line was steady but moved quickly. Don't miss.

The flavors I selected were good but a bit too soft. Glad I chose to have a cup vs. a cone as it would not have worked at all. If the ice cream had not been too soft, I would have bumped the rating up a star.

They serve Herrell's Ice Cream here. Ice cream is great, along with a beautiful park setting, benches, adirondack chairs, and a few picnic tables. Check it out as they close up for winter.

Came to Williamstown to visit the Clark. We had a wonderful day and ended it with a well deserved ice cream treat. Staff was friendly, ice cream was yummy!

Good selection of favors. Ice cream was very tasty. However, the additions to the ice cream (chips in black raspberry chocolate chip, oatmeal cookies in maple oatmeal cookie) tended to overwhelm the ice cream. Also, the scoops were not very large. I would return again; worth the trip.

The setting is lovely. Right in Williams town on a beautiful summer day. But the staff were preoccupied with their cell phones and friends. Service was curt, felt a bit elitist. Really? You could barely be bothered to pay attention to customers. And the ice cream nothing special.

I've had my share of gourmet ice cream, and Lickety Split rates among the best...had the black and white malt...which was even better than the great Oreo the next night...also, the setting is fun and childlike....
