This is a convenient spot with interesting menu items & sandwich combos. Although staff seems nice & hard-working, food is unimpressive. And, although I ordered and was told I could have a tuna melt, what arrived was a cold tuna sandwich which I was told WAS a tuna melt because melted cheese had been placed between the tuna and bread.... Haven't been to Williamstown since our son graduated in '01. Still nice. This deli has the most choices of any that we have ever eaten at and the names of the sandwiches are fun to read. The food is just wonderful. It was well worth the stop on our way home to New Hampshire from Pittsfield.

Pappa Charlie's is in the center of town. They have a wide selection of diverse and cleverly named sandwiches. It is cash-only, so no credit card points here. Sandwiches are reasonably priced. Can't say enough about the variety of sandwiches. Service is a little slow- a second drawback- but wait until you see the sandwich selection!!!!

The first thing to notice about this small, always busy sandwiches shop is the clever menu - sandwiches with personalities. Ingredients are fresh and a good choice of fresh breads make choosing difficult. Orders are filled quickly, too, so despite the crowd, never much of a wait. Seating is limited so take it outside and enjoy.

We stopped in to grab a quick breakfast. I ordered a veggie omlet but omitted a few items on the list as the gentleman started to cook it he sought me out and said I didn't have much in my omlet would I like perhaps avocado or something else added. I jumped at the avocado. Toast choice were a little... More

This small sandwich shop has unique sandwiches that are named by famous people! One of my favorites is the Neil Patrick Harris! I get it without mustard and add mayo instead. The barbecue sauce is sweet and oh so delicious! They also add Cold slaw on it and this seems to be homemade. The whole combo of ingredients are delicious!... More

Good soups, salads and sandwiches conveniently located to campus. The restaurant was clean, well-priced and quick.

We were impressed by the vast menu of sandwiches, bagels, soups, beverages. Our order took a little time, (this is a college-town and they were busy in spite of the holiday) but when it arrived we were very pleasantly surprised. We go back again in a heartbeat.

I visit Williamstown about once a month and, if I'm there at lunch time, it always calls for a visit to Pappa Charlie's. Their sandwiches are each named after a celebrity. My favorite is the Stephen Collins -- turkey, sprouts, lettuce, rye, cucumber, tomatoes and Russian dressing. I didn't regret it. The sandwiches are large. The bread fabulous.

Stopped for lunch, we had the soup/or chili sandwich deal. We were not disappointed. Plenty to eat here. The sandwich was thick, and the home made soup and chili, hit the spot. Many, many sandwich choices, with amusing names. Will stop again and try other menu items. It might appear a little rough, but the food and value can't be... More
