My boyfriend and I ordered delivery from here. Food arrived quickly but it was literally the blandest Indian food I’ve had in my whole life and totally overpriced. My boyfriend recently started eating Indian food and he was disgusted at the complete lack of flavor....It was not only lacking in any hotness, but there was zero flavor. I was so excited to have Chicken Manchurian, but it was basically just chunks of plain chicken in a sauce which my boyfriend said tasted like the sauce that you get with Chef Boyardee or Spaghetti-os or canned tomato soup. Chicken Manchurian is supposed to be breaded with chickpea flour and fried and then sautéed with onions and green peppers and a little soy sauce in a light spicy gravy if you choose or without if that’s how you like it. The mattar paneer was the worst I’ve had in my life. For $17 an entree, I expect a little more. Also, any Indian restaurant I’ve ever gone to always asks what level of “hot” you want- they didn’t do that, which should have been a red flag. They didn’t include any chutneys or papadums which is generally standard at an Indian restaurant. We were beyond disappointed.More

Great food and service. Accommodating to the college students with student specials. The restaurant is always busy when we are in Williamstown, which is a great sign - people love the food!

A nice addition to the variety of other options in the area. Reasonable, quick and delicious. Can get some international heat if that is your preference. Nice staff.

I love Indian food and my meal at Spice Root was very good. The food was fresh, plentiful, and priced reasonably. The environment was comfortable with a sizable table and the I didn't feel crowded next to other tables. Plus the wait service was good...- not too much or too little attention.More

We love Spice Root's food and will return. Our suggestion is to give yourself lots of extra time during theater season. Even when we called in advance and were told that the time we reserved would be fine, we still finished at a time that...was too close to curtain--and that happened each of the two times we booked this year (but not in past years so maybe they were just shortstaffed this particular summer) . .The table next to ours had the same experience. It's worth going, though--nice place and a real variety of good food.More

Service was good. Food was just okay. The nann was the best part of the meal. Rice was overcooked a bit mushy. Vindaloo chicken was nicely spiced but tasted like it was reheated.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our meal. Our service also was very good. The restuarant wasn't too busy so not noisy and no annoying music to drown-out our conversation. We ordered drinks and a veggie platter appetizer to share. We also ordered a...meat platter to share. We got a basket of nan and rice came with the meat platter. It was so much food even though we shared. I had chai tea and my table mate got one of the speciality cocktails. Our waiter was personable and eager to answer our questions. All in all a great evening. Thanks, Spice Root.More

Sorry, can't help - I don't notice the non-gluten stuff and their menu doesn't indicate non-gluten foods. You'ld have to ask them direct at one of their franchises.
