This is an unassuming pub with a great atmosphere and delicious food. There is a full menu of beers available, which my husband ordered from. I had a very nice white wine. Our server was high energy, attentive, helpful -- but not intrusive. I ordered the "holy guacamole" panini, recommended by our server, and it was absolutely delicious. If you're... More

Nicely located in downtown Williamstown, The Purple Pub offers a great dining experience. It provides very good pub fare, in a nice location. The outdoor dining is great in the summer. A definite stop if you're in town shopping.

Excellent food, never disappoints! Comfortable atmosphere, terrific service. We make sure to go here every year when we are in Williamstown.

Service was terrible. Salad was too much dressing and grocery store premix, but not terrible. In a region of bad service, this was spectacularly bad.

We grabbed a bite here after our visit to The Clark - great food, relaxing atmosphere. Service was fast and the servers were very friendly.

Our server (I wish I remembered his name--he was tall-ish and blonde, if that helps and went to school in WNY, near to where we are from!) was friendly without being overbearing or intrusive and had very solid beer knowledge, as well as a good sense of humor. He was informed about the menu and knew which dishes contained locally... More

Well put together food and fantastic service. Nice patio area as well. Mid range pricing wise but great service and good atmosphere makes up for all.

Good beer and burgers. Nice selection of regional beers on tap. Decent pub food. We started with chicken wings. They were quite tasty, a perfect accompaniment to the delicious brews. Although one of our burgers was raw the server replaced it without too much discussion. My turkey club was good and the house made chips were terrific. A solid option... More

Happened on this place when looking for a quick bite before a show. Sat inside as no tables available outside. Typical pub although we weren't there for the beer. We had a salmon BLT which was excellent and served with their own chips. Also had fish and chips which were ver good. The service was great. Definitely going back.

I stumbled on this campus pub while looking for the post office. They have an attentive staff, a good choice of beers, great onions rings and the night I was there a tasty grilled pork chop. The blues music was welcome surprise!

Description
The Purple Pub has been the place to gather in Williamstown since 1973, serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Whether you're looking for traditional pub food or delicious entrees, we have you covered. Patrons can drink and dine at the large mahogany bar or in the comfort of the semi-private dining room. Come watch the game on one of our large screen televisions or enjoy a romantic dinner with someone special. Don't forget to try one of our 14 draft beers (we have bottled beer too), served in a frosted glass.
