We have been coming here for most likely 30 years and counting. We had noticed the food quality going downhill. When new owners took over, we tried it asa family , but were very disappointed as the old menu had changed completely and the food...was still not very good as the previous cook was still there and the place had not changed. We went there as we had noticed the outside looking so inviting and decided to give it a try after reading some reviews of improvements.
Walked in,the front basically is the same, but much more inviting and the bar was full. Walked to the reception desk where the greeting was not really so inviting. Got seated and immediately , greeted by Gabby our server ( we were her very first customer) she did a very good job of taking care of us and passed the test. We ordered the antipasto board that was outstanding, the bred was as expected great . Ordered Nonna’s chicken soup Has to be the best ever. The baked Atlantic Cod was super fresh and cooked perfect, worth every bite. The Sunday Gravy Dish was rigatoni, sausage,Short ribs and the best meatball that I have had in a long time, all with a really very good sauce. There was no room for dessert !! Old fashion drink was very well executed. Wines were very good. Needs to be mentioned that this is no longer the ol’Venetian with cheap prices, everything has gone up, but still so reasonable considering the improved quality and taste of the food.
The inside feels very cozy and friendly while the staff has a lot of new friendly faces. We will be back very often as we used to do.More
