I shopped here several times when living in Watertown in the fall. I don't like sweet pastries, but can appreciate when a pastry is well made. These folks know what they are doing, just not my preference. I did not mark down because of my preference. The croissants were mediocre and disappointing. However, the Danish rye bread, full grain, dark,... More

This is a small spot that we nearly missed on our first visit, as it is tucked away on a side street, with little parking. But they have a terrific selection of pastries and desserts, and everything we tried was yummy. On this visit we enjoyed their almond apple cake, and their croissants.

So we first learned about this place on a local TV show. Since Hubby is Scandinavian and we were going to be in the area anyway, we decided to stop in. Turns out their Watertown location is the wholesale location where all the baking is done. The cafe at this location consists of 3 stools at a short, very short,... More

My company uses DPH for all of our cupcakes and cakes. We also suggest them for weddings and events. Oh my they are good! Their assorted cupcakes are to die for and all of our customers now request them.

Danish Pastry House is tucked in back of an industrial/residential area in Watertown. They offer decent freshly made sandwiches and homemade soup at lunchtime. Their whole grain breads are fresh and especially good, worth stopping on your way by to bring a loaf home.

The cupcakes provided by Danish Pastry House for our wedding were so delicious and beautiful that I can't even really explain it. I know, some of you are probably like "come on, it's a cupcake. How good can it be?" Well, please let me try to explain. First of all, the flavor combinations they so artfully put together were nothing... More

These guys sell to all the big Hotels in Boston. The croissants are excellent and the people are the best. I hope they open up outlets in accessible locations as that would be a great hit. Make the effort to get to this place.

Many places sell "Danish." Unfortunately for those of us who love and crave actual Danish pastry, you know, the kind they have in Denmark, what is sold in the U.S. as "Danish" pastry is heavy, doughy, iced, overly sweet, has a dollop of jam, and is made with vegetable shortening. REAL Danish pastry is airy, flaky, made with real butter,... More

I was working nearby and asked some of the folks where to grab a quick breakfast nearby - everybody suggested this place, which is a little difficult to find. From the outside, it looks like a hole in the wall, but when you get inside and see the treats, your eyes will open up wide like you were a kid... More
