A good Greek Restaurant

I will not take anything away from this place, they have good food but I had just recently been to another amazing Mediterranean place in Waltham area and was hoping to have a similar feast. They have parking space. Its more of a self service concept. The hummus was awesome and the sheesh kebabs... read more

The Waltham location is convenient to Tom Lyons Tires, where we picked up our car. The thought of shish kababs led us to Demos a block away where we've had satisfaction in the past. Tonight was different. The salads were great, until one of us removed a stone from his mouth. It was not a small stone. When the chicken... More

Nothing bad, but nothing to talk about as well. The Shish lamb kababs were very well done, but it comes with a large salad and a pita bread. For some reason, I left hungry even after eating here. The seating area is nice and the folks were friendly. But something I would expect from an establishment.

If you crave real lamb souvlakia and a good Greek salad to go with it, this is the place. Bare bones counter ordering grilled meats and they even have french fries like patates frites. There is also a sister restaurant in Watertown which seems more authentic and the good news is you don't need to stop at an ATM before... More

My family has been eating at Demos for over 20 years. Literally every single meal has been delicious! We are fans of everything---chicken kabobs, rice (with extra sauce!), greek salads, burgers, omelets. The food is pure comfort food, and whenever someone is sick (they have amazing chicken rice soup), has a new baby, or needs a lift, Demos food does... More

Stick to the lamb dishes. They are VERY good. I've been to this place at least five times during trips to Waltham. The reason is that they are so inexpensive and the food is generally good with some things being awesome. All the lamb dishes are VERY good. I had the Musaka once and I would classify it as "homey"... More

We stopped in this simple order- at-the-counter restaurant for dinner during our vacation. Our expectations weren't real high, but the gyros were good, full of meat that was cooked perfectly. Their sauce was not cucumber-y which pleased me. The chicken soup was bland, but perked up with the help of salt and pepper. It was very busy and appeared to... More

This place needs a major makeover. I enjoy the Greek place much more on Needham street in Newton with its better lighting and better food too. I was in the mood for Greek so stopped for a Gyro and the meat was great but there was little else in the Gyro. Like one small strip of lettuce and one small... More

I have been eating at Demos on and off for the past 10 years when I visit family in the Waltham area. Sometimes it's OK, other times (like our last visit yesterday) it's mediocre. The best thing was my wife's lamb kebabs; the meat was tender and well flavored. My roast lamb was stringy, over cooked, and bland. The meatloaf... More

If you like kabobs they do a good job. Spanikopita and salad is my favorite. Lunch is a good deal. Order then wait for your number to be called then pick up and pay.
