Masao's Kitchen was a terrific choice for a vegetarian daughter and a celiac dad. You choose whatever items you want from a nice selection and then pay by the pound. Tasty bread is complementary for vegans/vegetarians. The atmosphere is pleasant and the music provided a nice ambiance. Good food at a great price. We found on street parking for free... More

Masao's Kitchen is a place our family goes often because it's good, clean food prepared well by people who care about the food they cook. So many choices and the quality is very high. My husband is Italian, he loves Italian food. However, he appreciates the food at Masao's. My husband is a great cook and very fussy about what... More

Yes, it's vegan. No, you won't leave hungry. You'll leave inspired to try these dishes at home. In fact, while you're there, why not purchase one of Masao's easy to follow cookbooks so that you can make it at home? What you'll find is yummy, clean, healthy food at its best. Simple atmosphere. Worth many visits.

A hole in the wall, but with outstanding vegan food. Served buffet style, the food is simple and expertly prepared. I can't wait to go back.

I tend to have a lot of food sensitivities so eating out is tough for me. There are only so many salads you can eat. I found this place on trip advisor and thought I would give it a try after all I live in Waltham. Boy am I glad I did. The food was so tasty and flavorful. They... More

My husband and I ate a meal from Masao's Kitchen on a recent trip to Boston. It was such a good experience, we decided to start eating a macrobiotic diet at home. If Masao's was closer we would eat there every week.

I am first and foremost a meat-lover. My husband knows that and yet for my 30th birthday, brought me there with my mom. a party of 4 (our 3yo daughter was with us too) I must admit him telling me that he had plan on making me eat vegan food (and not just vegetarian) got me a bit anxious. The... More

He also has a great cookbook available at the restaurant or on amazon.... More

One of the least positive reviewers here, who said he wasn't vegan, said this was kind of like mom's homemade vegan cooking when she wasn't expecting company. Well, I agree, but I would call that a positive, not a negative. Not having grown up vegan, this is wonderfully delicious food from the vegan mom I never had. The place is... More

Masao's is incredible - I would travel many miles for this place. Affordable and always fresh. He puts a lot of love into this food.
