Great atmosphere. Interesting and tasty Tapas (small plates)
We ordered the garlic shrimp (comes with bread), and brussel sprouts to share. Excellent choices. Also the cauliflower and broc fritters. Nice and crispy outside and soft inside but need a bit of seasoning. Quite tasteless- we thought.
Look forward to returning to sample some more!

Stopped here just for a few tapas after work. Good service at the bar as well as nice drinks. Enjoyed the sizzling shrimp and the crab ravioli tapas. They are always good....and ate too much of their bread, because it is quite good and mixes well with all of their tapas.

My hubby and I enjoyed the Spanish tapas! The restaurant is located away from the downtown area, which allows the Uber and Lyft to be accessible at a good time to pick us up. The atmosphere was beautiful at night, even the outside patio was attractive. The patatas bravas and the wine drinks were especially delicious. Please try this restaurant!

Honest review: I went here a couple weeks ago and met a friend for dinner. We ordered about 4 different tapas dishes and drinks. The service was not good and disappointing. We ordered a second round of tapas and we were waiting about 20 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes for our second order, the server came over and told us that he forgot what we ordered. After waiting and when we got our second order with the tostadas, it was cold and we weren't a fan of it. The hostess/ manager came over to ask us how we like it. We were honest and told her that we didn't like the tostadas and she said that she can have the server take it off our bill. The server came back and told us that we couldn't get it taken off our bill because we ate half of it. (This information was misleading.) The server then took it away without asking if we still wanted it and we were still charged for the dish on the bill. We unfortunately had a disappointing experience. About a week later I decided to call the restaurant to talk to the manager to give them feedback. The manager did listen to my feedback and was open to it. I was told again by the manager that I could be reimbursed for the dish and I gave them my name and card info. I was hopeful and patient for the reimbursement to show up on my card. I waited for the reimbursement to show up on my card and I never got the reimbursement. I will not be coming back to this restaurant. There are other tapas restaurants I rather go to. I would not recommend this restaurant based on the service. Thumbs down.

The first time I went to eat there it was with my wife (ex now), it was great, the tapas we ordered were flavorful, with sauces that you wanted to finish dunking the bread. We ordered Lomo, libers, scallops in saffron and goat cheese in tomato sauce, all a great experience. Every time we visited later with friends or relatives the experience was not as good, but this last time I went to have dinner with my black girlfriend. Really poor service the tender loin (lomo) was tough, no bread with, the drinks seem as if some one has a sip of it, they never brought the las two tapas. From the moment we step there the Manager looked at us with none welcoming sight (perhaps, color people is treated as if we still are in the 50s), we were sited in the center table of 4, while next to the window there was an empty table for two (we needed to be better looking or non color people), did I mention my ex was a white woman? I guess that makes a difference! or maybe they like to serve better bigger groups. Personally I will never go back or recommend the place, even the ambiance is bad. A tapas bar should give you the feeling you stepped in a friendly place in Spain, this place milk/toast American tapas!

I chose this restaurant for its reviews, location and ability to serve a party of ten. What a mistake! The service was atrocious. It took us 3 1/2 hours to finish our dinner because the service was so sporadic. One of our guest didn’t receive any food for 45 minutes while others received all of their tapas at once. There was no rhyme or reason to the food being brought out. A couple of food highlights: artichoke ravioli, lamb chops, asparagus, Brussel sprouts, meat and cheese plate. A lot of failures: veg paella ( very bland) chicken skewers (overcooked, inedible), Smokey roasted vegetables(weird taste), baked goat cheese in tomato sauce with bread (came out cold), salmon (overcooked) beef tenderloin over toast (toast was missing- we mentioned to waiter but still never got bread). Overall, just a bad experience from service to food.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has gone way down hill. I had not been there for a while, and so thought I would go with my son for lunch. The salmon was overcooked, roasted vegetables were soggy and cold, and chicken skewers were minuscule. We did enjoy the goat cheese and tomato basil sauce, but the it’s too much money for too little food.

Solea is my absolute favorite restaurant in Waltham. The tapas, the sangria, the vibe, the service, the bartenders, everything is always truly amazing. I always go for the royal sangria, patas bravas, toastadas de alcachofas (my all-time fav), lamb meatballs, and the lobster ravioli!!!
Anything you choose will be amazing!

We enjoyed our dinner at the Solea Restaurant. The restaurant is larger than what it seems in the photos. Finding a parking space was a challenge. The waiter was friendly and gave us good suggestions. Some of the tapas were better than others. I liked and recommend the jamon serrano, patatas bravas, empanadas, manchego cheese and tortilla espanola. The sangria was delicious!

I attended a business event here, which allowed me to sample the drinks and food. It's sited in a series of connected rooms, several of which can be opened to the outside on a nice day. Makes for a very pleasant and interesting (great colours) ambiance. The food was tapas, some of which was really good, some of which was just okay. A nice place to hang out an socialize, though there are better places for tapas.

A last minute choice, so arrived without a reservation but were promptly seated on a moderately busy night. Enjoyed a variety of small plates, sangria. My desert was a mango sorbet--delicious and definitely not small. Service was good and the variety of tapas was excellent.

One of the BEST dining experiences we have ever had! the tapas were all off the charts amazing! Our Server Alicia, was amazing at suggesting the best items. She is also the bartender on other nights so ask for her if you can. Parking was a bit difficult, but overall, we are sooo happy we got to experience this place and will be back!

This used to be my favorite spot on Moody St. Going back after the pandemic, I have gotten sick twice now. And my friend as well.

I’ve been craving for tapas so my family was looking forward for a nice tapas spanish dinner after a lunch afternoon bday party in Wellesley.
( Oh, we drive all the way from NJ early morning)
We ordered the Paella Valencia’s but was disappointed because the rice didn’t taste anything like having saffron in it both in taste and color. The chicken was either over cooked or not freshly cooked that it had a weird texture and taste as well. Not old or spoiled, but nit chicken either. . The scallops were not fresh either. Almost in the rubbery side and didn’t nit taste anything close to scallop!
We ordered the pulpo tapas and was the blandest tasting pulpo ever. It was not salted and did not the usual textures of pulpo we’ve
We orderded the calamari that wa Dover cooked and bland as well. We order the duck tapas which was ok but more sweet than savory.
We ordered 3 pitches of Sangria that was so sweet like it was juice and no wine taste in it.
We had an awesome time during the day and we didn’t want to complain to spoil the end of the day get together.
We’ve been to a lot of tapa’s restaurants, Barcelona restaurant that’s just outside downtown Boston and other tapas from everywhere ( because I live soa ish food and tapas at that!!)
Anywyay… it was a ‘bland’ dinner all together. Oh, service was great though

Great paella and better service. Calamari was a tad overcooked but the cerviche was delicious. Large room could lack an intimate feel for smaller groups.
