This is straight from the sea to your plate type of place and it is well worth stopping by and filling up those hungry kids after spending a day at the beach. Inexpensive, quality and family- focused, I'd definitely put it on the list for yummy grub!

We know our chowder on the Vineyard, and John's fish market has the best. We come here every year, and boy is it worth the trek (we stay on the other side of the island). Thanks for filling our bellies with deliciousness!

We stopped at Vineyard Haven on a cruise and although the food on the ship is great, we like to try some of the local spots. Went to Sandy's Fish and Chips with John's Fish Market and were not disappointed. We had to try the Fish and Chips and they had a special of Fish Stew. Naturally I had to... More

Everything I've EVER had from John's Fish Market tasted like it just walked in from the ocean! Their fried clams with the bellies and fish sandwiches are divine, always served with perfect tartar sauce. Prices are reasonable and the selection of everything from lobster, to scallops, to a variety of fish will satisfy any menu you're planning. It's nice that... More

The 'to go' place for take out fish. We added corn and fresh tomatoes to the delicious lobster and had a feast at the house we'd rented.

Lots of fresh Island fish selections, plus some special items like great quahog chowder and bluefish pate, in a shop that's run by the third generation of their family. Just the kind of shop you want to find.

This is a very good place for take out lunch or dinner. Fish and Chips, chicken dinner, Obama Burger, excellent! They were closed for a while, glad they're back and cooking again. Highly recommend . Food always prepared right in front of you, tasty, hot and fresh!! Great place on the Island.

Nothing fancy but quick friendly service for lunch. Heavy on fresh seafood. Sandwiches, baskets, etc. Very tasty. Eat outside or take it away. Also has a beautiful selection of fillets of all sorts available for purchase.

John fish market is located a little bit out of town in vineyard haven. It is vineyard havens best kept secret! It has fresh caught seafood sold out of the fish market if your looking to do some homemade cooking at home. The snack bar side has fresh seafood sandwiches, platters, and fries, and if somebody in your group doesn't... More
