We met my brother and his wife for dinner as we get together a few times a year for dinner and conversation. We try to find a place somewhat halfway between our homes as we live in different states. The atmosphere was great and the...food was exceptional. I highly recommend this place.More

I've been to the Wayside Inn many times, but somehow never had the prime rib. Yesterday I ordered it for the first time, and, God willing, it won't be the last. It was delicious, and along with the potato and beans, and especially the CREME...BRULEE for dessert, made for a wonderful meal and experience. Rebecca the server was great, too.More

We arranged for a pre-commencement dinner in the Ford Room for a family of 10 gathering for our youngest daughter's college Commencement. Service, food and Room - with a fireplace for added comfort and picture taking background - we all exceptional. And our server Jessica...was the best! She even told us about the Inn's ghost and her experience with her.More

We brought visitors for Sunday lunch. the wait staff was just fantastic. They kept check on us without interrupting - at one point another ice tea showed up by my side when I was just starting to think I'd like another one! The food was...very good although we did have to wait a bit to receive our meals. We filled up on the bread appetizers - oh so dangerous! For our meals, two of us had the cornbread stuffed chicken; one taker for the ravioli and my husband had Not Your Mother's Meatloaf - it lives up to the promise! It was all quite good. We highly recommend. But again, most importantly, the service is just just wonderful. Thank you!More

Made a rez weeks in advance for a special outdoor luncheon, our first here in many years, our first dining out during the pandemic, and were really looking forward to it. Got dressed up! Arrived on time. Host "could not find the reservation." I showed...him the text message I sent to my family confirming the date/time to show that I wasn't mistaken. Mix ups happen, esp. in these crazy times, but the host had nothing to offer. Did not offer an alternate date or time, not a "hey, can you come back next Saturday and we'll comp you dessert?" Zilch. Nothing except a table inside, which did not work for us. Not good customer service. We ended up at The Rapscallion in Acton and had a great lunch with fabulous customer service. Will return there again for sure. Wayside, probably not.More

On a whim we decided to go out for dinner last night as the heat wasn't quite as bad as it had been. We arrived at Wayside Inn at about 5:30 and had the back patio to ourselves most of the time. Shaded and just...perfect! We enjoyed our drinks amid the beautiful landscape of this pre-revolutionary inn. To say romantic is an understatement! You are just transported back in time! The staff is wonderful and if you go, ask for Katie ! That girl has ESP! We let her pick everything for us and she nailed it from apps all the way to dessert! Crackers and cheese, fresh rolls, every bite was pure enjoyment. She surprised us with a horseradish cream sauce for our prime rib! Out of this world! Do yourself this favor - stop take a breath, and just go. The dining tables outside are spread out wonderfully we felt absolutely comfortable in these uncertain times. We felt cared for!! Our night out was a dream.More

We just finished a complete turkey dinner takeout from the Wayside Inn. It was absolutely delicious. We picked it up yesterday and reheated today. Curbside pickup with no contact with staff. Totally will do again👍👍

It has been years since we dined here and we had wonderful memories of this wonderful restaurant. Last night was no exception. We sat in the Tap Room at the Lover's Table #2 next to the fireplace. So romantic and the food was delicious. Our...waitress Laurie C. was so friendly. Emelie at the front desk was very friendly and so was Jack the head waiter at the Tap Room. The woman who ran the gift shop was also kind. We felt this restaurant helped us rekindle our early romance years. Thank you all for your hard work and love to us. God bless you all at the Wayside. I have gone to the wayside inn too many times to count and the food has always been fantastic. We decided to try the murder mystery event they were having and it was absolutely horrible. The bartender in the tavern was clearly agitated and not...pleasant, The “appetizers” were one small table of cheese, crackers and grapes, the buffet dinner was terrible , chicken piccata and prime rib were so overcooked it took effort to cut through and tasted disgusting. The “show” was so poorly acted and just awful we didn’t even stay for the rest and left in the middle of dinner. We didn’t expect movie star acting but my lord it was just beyond bad. For $55 a ticket I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect at the very least a decent meal.More

Had a great time at this historic inn for a Murder Mystery Dinner. Was a lot of fun, food was good. The players in the Theater group did a good job getting the audience involved.
