Met friends for lunch at Longfellow's. It is a neat historic inn that serves great food. We started off with our usual vodka martini's at $6.95; they were perfect. We had an order of fried calamari and it was done very nicely. My wife had the lobster pie at $24.95; it had lots of lobster. I had the prime rib... More

Brought out of town family here to celebrate a newlywed couples marriage. The service was average, food served cold or luke warm. Lobster was over cooked, dried out and inedible, swordfish just OK, green beans mushy and stringy, indian pudding inedible ...but at least it came with ice cream. The Turkey dinner was processed meat not a turkey breast and... More

A classic, the Wayside Inn offers budget friendly meals with a smile in a historical setting. Every time we go we feel like we are on vacation. Here you can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal any day or a juicy prime rib if that is your thing. Great breakfasts, lunches and dinners including some special meals in 2016 -- their 300th... More

A real favorite. The menu is uncomplicated … a variety of seafood, beef, chicken and more, with salads, soups, and home-made everything. It has been several years since we were last here, and we are thrilled that it has changed little. This is, after all, the oldest continually-operating inn in America, a way-station for coachmen and passengers going back to... More

For years we have made a point to stop for lunch or dinner at The Wayside Inn when we are in the Boston area or even traveling down the coast from the north. We were in Boston over the weekend and had Sunday dinner at the Inn and as always the food was very good. On Sundays there is a... More

Consistently good food and service in an interesting historic setting. This is not gourmet nouveau cuisine, but good "Yankee" food.

Excellent food, drinks, service, and value. Everyone had a great time and the staff is professional and very helpful. The Prime Rib and Strawberry Shortcake were stand-outs from the banquet menu.

You are eating here for the setting and historical significance. The fare is average at best. The menu is varied American tavern food. Service is average. I took my senior mother for lunch. The restaurant seems to cater to seniors at this time of day. My mom enjoyed "watching the old people" while she ate. I found the food salty...geared... More
