We had enjoyed take-out twice previously. This time, my son-in-law and I enjoyed a Saturday lunch in on our way to Boston. The wait this Saturday was 40-minutes, but of course was well worth it. We enjoyed a BYO-Beer, and ordered a pulled pork wrap, a brisket sandwich, wings and Mac & Cheese. The Mac & Cheese is not an... More

If I'm working in Sturbridge I always make time to go to BT's... and I mean make time. The line is often sizeable, but the staff and cooks work hard to keep the line moving, and they manage well. My fave is the brisket, but all the items )pulled pork, chicken) are well cooked, pleasantly smoky and tasty. The sides... More

The Brisket and pulled pork are as good as you can get. They give you a tremendous amount of food for your money and the BBQ sauces are excellent. I would go back just for the black-eyed peas! The atmosphere in restaurant is a bit unusual, haven't been there enough to figure it out, but the staff is not necessarily... More

This joint was highly recommended by friends as we drove through Sturbridge but was sorely over-rated. I imagine all the hype is due to the fact that it's probably the only real BBQ for miles and they really do slow cook and BBQ. I image the place has promise - but for us, it fell very short of a good... More

Went for a ride from NY to MA for some Treehouse brews. We stopped at BT's afterwards and the BBQ was exceptional. The sticky rib tips were the best and the brisket was mad tasty. Generous portions so unless you want leftovers for days stick with smaller plates.

While in Boston, we heard that this was the best BBQ joint in New England. We ordered online while on the drive through Sturbridge. It took 45 minutes to get our order ready. The decor of the restaurant was very cool though. The service was awful, and no one took pride in the food. Sadly, the best item on the... More

It is hard to get real BBQ in New England, so that might account for the hype. However, the brisket, which I paid an add on for was 50% fat, swimming in more grease. What little was edible tasted good.

Overall the place was good. They were highly recommended from. some friends of ours... I was so impressed with the service. The man taking our order was on point, super friendly and called everyone by their name. Prices were reasonable for fresh bbq! The pulled pork was delish... I drizzled the sweet bbq sauce all over it... Omg yum! The... More

You know you picked the right place to eat when people are lined up waiting to order. I had the brisket and it was so tender and very tasty. The wait to order and receive your order is worth it.

Wow! For a family of four grab a dinner with two meats, cornbread, and two sides. The beef brisket was the best I've ever had. We loved the Mac and cheese and cornbread too. If there's a line, order online. Also byob, so go next door to a market and grab a cool one. The parking lot is small so... More

Description
B.T.'S Smokehouse is a dry-rubbed and slow-smoked barbecue restaurant located in the downtown section of Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Owner and Head Chef Brian Treitman is committed to delivering the very best barbecue to Massachusetts and beyond. Focusing on Southern-style cuisine, the menu offers natural grass-fed beef, chicken, pork, and other meats that have been dry rubbed and slow smoked for up to 24 hours with local apple and hickory woods. In addition to standard barbecue fare, the restaurant also offers more unusual entrees such as smoked salmon, chili made with brisket meat, and smoked turkey and chicken. We are also BYOB, so grab your favorite 6 pack on your way in. B.T.'S has won numerous awards since opening its doors, including the New England Regional Chili Cookoff and placing in the Top Ten Barbecue Restaurants in New England, and the Boston Globe named B.T.'S one of the "ten best places to bask in barbecue".
