My friends and I had a lovely luncheon reunion at the Publick House Restaurant. We each enjoyed our meals. Some of us had clam chowder, fish and chips, pot roast, and Indian pudding. They all raved about the preparation and quality of the food and very generous portions. A few went crazy over the assorted rolls and breads. It was... More

We dined at the Publick House the Friday following Thanksgiving during a stay in Sturbridge Ma for the holiday. The dining room was charming but did get noisy as it filled up. The menu was full of classic New England fare and we had enjoyed our meal. My husbands Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and was delicious, my Turkey dinner... More

We visited the Publick House for Thanksgiving dinner this year. We've done it before and enjoyed it. The staff goes all out to provide a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to lots of people and families (we understand it was 3,000 visitors this year). It's good, hearty food (featuring turkey, naturally), served efficiently, and accommodating everyone from couples like us to families.... More

Great varied menu, great drinks and atmosphere. Costs for every wallet. Great waitstaff and chefs! If in nearby area, this is a must for lunch or dinner!

Met family here for Saturday evening dinner (5:30). Reservations are highly advised. The place was packed with a wedding in a private room, 3 floors of dining rooms and all filled. The menu has so many choices that it is difficult to choose. They have traditional New England dinners, like Chicken Pot Pie and Meatloaf, and they serve a New... More

The building is historic which is in line with Sturbridge Village nearby. There is a formal dining room on the lower floor and a more casual dining room on the upper level. Each have their own entrance so you do not need to enter one level and climb steps to the other. They have a good menu and a reasonable... More

Pretty crowded but we got seated rather quickly. Took awhile to get waited on and the time between courses took forever! Food was very good and the atmosphere was great. Figured that 2:30 on a Saturday would be a quicker experience. I'll go back because most times service is much better.

Stopped for lunch on Thursday Nov. 10, 2016. Hostess busy talking on phone for about ten minutes - asked if we had a reservation. No just passing through. She said all of their tables were reserved - really - there are at least 12 vacant ones. Finally seated. Over heated facility and over priced - no luncheon menu. Ordered salmon... More

Came to dinner with family on a Friday night. Entered through the rear off the vast parking lot. Walked through several buffet fueled events - up and around and over and through various sections of the building into the Inn which is in the front of the property. Very historic. Perhaps one of the blandest dinners ever. I went with... More

I was thrilled to see so many of my favorite items on their menu, such as Lobster Pie, Roast Leg of Lamb and authentic Turkey Dinner (with stuffing and whole cranberries). They also have an offer where you can get a choice of salad, soup or dessert (pick two) for additional 9 dollars. The choice of soups, salads and desserts... More
