My family stopped here with three little boys for lunch. It was one of the best meals we have had. High quality good. RestaurAnt was not busy. Good service. It is dark, but not offensive. The food.....so good. The chicken pot pie was worth the...More

In the basement of the historic Red Lion Inn, this is a great spot for a beer or glass of wine. We were there on a Friday night and there was an acoustic guitar singer/songwriter who was great. A very romantic setting.

I have been to the Lion's Den off and on over the years when I visit the Red Lion going back 30 years and I think that it is time for a makeover. It needs a bit of spiffing up, including the service. We ordered...More

We had dinner at the Inn and then found a door in the tavern that lead to the Pub in the basement. I loved it immediately. The bar is small and busy but the music and decor is worth it. There was a folksy blues...More

The family stopped by for drinks and appetizers in this historic Pub. It was a Saturday night and a bit busy but it seemed like the restaurant was not the least prepared for a holiday weekend crowd. One person handling a number of tables and...More

We stopped in here on a Friday night for drinks and a light supper. The service was friendly and very good. However the atmosphere was very loud. Also, for what it's worth the food and drinks, although very good, seemed to be overpriced. In other...More

Description
The Lion's Den pub, located downstairs at The Red Lion Inn, offers entertainment seven nights a week, and never a cover charge. There's different entertainment each night, with regular appearances by local performers including David Grover, the Sun Mountain Fiddler, and the Housatonic Philharmonic, offering everything from acoustic folk to R&B, and reggae to the blues. Some nationally recognized performers have been known to grace our humble pub stage from time to time - James Taylor, Lauren Ambrose and Roger Salloom among them.On chilly nights ask for a table by the fireplace and enjoy a genuine pint of ale or stout, a glass of your favorite wine, or a mug of hot mulled cider - all accompanied by our classic pub fare. The Lion's Den is open (until 1 a.m. on weekends), with entertainment from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and entertainment from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. House guests can access the Lion's Den through the Tavern, or by entering beneath the red awning on Main Street.
