This is a great basement pub with very good food. The hot cider with rum was perfect on a cold night.

It's not just the convenience of The Lions Den that makes it a cool place but the bands are always good and the wait staff friendly and fun. You will always have a good time. P.S. Get the Pulled Pork tacos for a light snack....More

Food was great and the service was also great for lunch. Inside was a look little dark and old ... I'm guessing that's because they're trying to keep the history.

Great bar staff, provide cocktails and selection of beers. Low ceiling of the basement bar provides excellent atmosphere. Music of an evening makes this a good venue.

We were on vacation staying in nearby New Marlborough. We ate at a restaurant here and popped in to listen to live music which they have nightly. Our server was fantastic. The music was folk and older mostly which I didn’t even know. It was...More

The Lion's Den Pub has live entertainment nightly. It is a great place to hang out and have a drink. We also had an afternoon snack there. So it is a good spot to just go relax and take a break.

I went here because it was highly recommended and when we drove by, and saw many people on rocking chairs on the porch, it seemed worthwhile. It was a little pricey for what you got.

Description
The Lion's Den pub, located downstairs at The Red Lion Inn, offers entertainment seven nights a week, and never a cover charge. There's different entertainment each night, with regular appearances by local performers including David Grover, the Sun Mountain Fiddler, and the Housatonic Philharmonic, offering everything from acoustic folk to R&B, and reggae to the blues. Some nationally recognized performers have been known to grace our humble pub stage from time to time - James Taylor, Lauren Ambrose and Roger Salloom among them.On chilly nights ask for a table by the fireplace and enjoy a genuine pint of ale or stout, a glass of your favorite wine, or a mug of hot mulled cider - all accompanied by our classic pub fare. The Lion's Den is open (until 1 a.m. on weekends), with entertainment from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and entertainment from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. House guests can access the Lion's Den through the Tavern, or by entering beneath the red awning on Main Street.
