Outstanding lunch

Stopped in for a birthday lunch in January - lightly snowing perfect winter day. The Hotel is a stunning gem that throws you back in time 250 years. They have a tiny gift shop too. We ate in the pub - low ceilings, quaint and rustic. Tables are a little tight. Service was very good - Our lunch... read more

In the iconic Red Lion Inn is a great place to drink and relax and meet friends. Low key but high quality service is excellent as is the array of food and beverages available. A "cannot miss"!

The Lion's Den Pub is a great place to meet with friends and family to enjoy a delicious meal and listen to local entertainment. The bartenders are friendly and accommodating to your every need and will answer any questions about the menu. A low key venue from the formal dining room and the rustic tavern.

My husband and I stopped in and he had the lamb shepherd's pie served in a little cast iron fry pan, a smallish serving (not suitable for a grown male) with no side dishes whatsoever - no bread, no greens, no veggie. He was still hungry so ordered apple pie warm with ice cream. The pie was cold, the apples... More

Great time. Kate the bartender was awesome... accomodating, pleasant, helpful. Good salads and an Amazing berry bread pudding. One of my best desserts ever ! She even comped us a drink since the bartender in the tavern had been so rude.

The menu is very limited with no staples you would expect like a burger or nachos. I get that variety is nice but not everyone has a broad palate. Atmosphere was nice albeit a bit dark. I asked if I could order a burger from the Tavern upstairs or the Courtyard (also Red Lion Inn establishments) and pick it up... More

A less formal option than the tavern and main dining room upstairs. We ordered the cheese plate and charcuterie, along with some cocktails. We followed up with New England clam chowder and a Caesar Salad. Many other menu options, along with a daily special. We opted out of the Hungarian Goulash (who serves that?). Good service, though the waiter didn't... More
