Cute place with good food, too bad they employ an extremely rude host! The cranberry chicken salad was delicious, but we continued to see the host be confrontational with numerous guests waiting to be seated.

We were with a group of 10 that was seated for lunch. This was a very pleasant surprise. The sandwiches etc. were original, flavorful and served by a great wait staff. 3 of the folks (ex New England, now California) insisted the clam chowder was worth coming to NE for. The location was wonderful and we all liked it so... More

Recipes are original, well prepared and tasty. My problem is that the dishes are very rich and this may not be to everyone's liking. On the other hand, if you're on vacation you might want to treat yourself to a rich hearty entrée. Service is both efficient and friendly. Worth a visit.

We had a lovely light lunch at Once Upon a Table. We visited on a warm day during the peak summer tourist season, and were surprised to find the wait was only about 10 minutes. After sitting down, we split two items: vegetable dumplings (delicious, handmade and lightly fried; filled, I think, with edamame, and garnished with pickled ginger), and... More

The service saved our lunch. Special soup of the day was gazpacho. Tasted basically like tomato juice with (limited) super-diced veggies. Caesar Salad ($8) was nothing special. I mostly just tasted salt, yet without the salt, it would have held little flavor. No anchovies. :( Grilled Alaskan Salmon Burger ($11) with a dollop of guacamole on an English muffin with... More

Read the positive reviews, so we stopped here for a late lunch. So glad we did. I had the salmon burger, my wife the reuben, both with a nice dinner salad. My salmon burger was topped with a mild guacamole, with lettuce, tomato, and onion on the side. It was fantastic! My wife's Reuben was delicious as well. The place... More

So this is really a very pretty little cafe just off the main street in Stockbridge. Friendly staff. A good selection of sandwiches, with some nice original ideas. But somehow the execution of the ideas didn't quite work. The flavours didn't quite make it through. And although I'm absolutely against the usual 'more than a family of 4 can eat... More

Charming and cozy place with a great lunch offering. I had the grilled portabello, spinach and brie sandwich; my companion had the pastrami sandwich, Both were over the top. Gazpacho was fantastic. Portions just right. A pleasant stop when traveling in the Berkshires.

Really enjoyed this small place. The menu is not extensive, but with a full slate of specials you should find something to your taste. The meals, appetizers and entrées are interesting and prepared with care and attention to flavor, seasoning , and ingredients. I tried dumplings, gazpacho and chicken entrée. Decent wine selection. Would have loved to try the profiteroles,... More

Some of the best places are not easy to find. I have forgotten what was in this spot off of Main Street but it couldn't have been as good as Once Upon a Table. The menu is small but appears to have been carefully planned with a small but good selection of items carefully prepared. Friendly and efficient service, reasonable... More
