We had the misfortune of a double birthday celebration on a night when, according to the restaurant manager, "many things went wrong", for example and again I quote "the waitress was frazzled and overwhelmed, having a bad night; the kitchen was having some difficulties; our computer and credit card reader were not working, etc., etc.". For us the result was... More

We lucked out. When we arrived, the dining room was somewhat crowded and noisy, but the hostess offered to seat us in a smaller alcove - with the note that a large party was coming in half an hour. The large party never showed, so we enjoyed almost a private dining room with a very pleasant waitress -- and another... More

The main dish was pork ((overcooked, dry with no sauce) for my daughter, shrimp for me,( 4 shrimps) both served on bad looking , dry , ice... More

My wife and I had a very good dinner while sitting on the porch of the Red Lion Inn's courtyard dining area. My wife had the house chardonnay which she enjoyed while I had a draft beer which was acceptable. For dinner my wife had the baked trout and I ate the baked haddock. We agreed that both were quite... To begin with, the restaurant is not cheap. However, you are on a day trip or vacation, so enjoy yourself. We obtained early evening reservations and we're surprised at the number of other people who had the same time. We were seated promptly. The decor for the restaurant was charming, with little in plumb --this Inn is over 250 years... More

The Red Lion Inn dates from the late 18th century and is a landmark inn and restaurant in Stockbridge Massachusetts. A friend and I had visited Stockbridge as a day trip to visit a local gallery. At the Red Lion, you have the option of eating in either the main restaurant, their pub, or their outdoor courtyard. As the day... More

We were fortunate enough to sit in the courtyard on a beautiful summer day. Everyone in my group really enjoyed their food. I had the clam chowder and it was delicious. The turkey sandwich was enjoyed by two different people at my table. The service was great and we had a positive experience.

We were not able to find seating at the restaurant next-door, so we instead sat on the outside patio of the red lion inn dining room. Since it was a warm summer night, we couldn't have made a better choice. The first thing you notice upon inspecting the menu is that this restaurant serves old-time New England comfort food: turkey... More

Had a lovely dinner, a inexpensive special that night that included salad and dessert, in the courtyard with friends. Great service, great food.

On a day trip to Stockbridge, we decided to end the visit with a touch of history, with dinner at The Red Lion Inn. It is old New England dining, with some modern twists. Service was friendly and efficient. I went traditional - with a thick cut of prime rib, done perfectly medium rare. The prime rib came with a... More
