Restaurants are one of the hardest hit businesses in the current crisis. Tucker's has started a takeout menu keeping their lights on and giving us some appealing choices when we need to be mostly at home. With considerable catering experience, they have a leg up on switching from dining room to the takeout format. Two nights ago we had splendid Broiled Salmon with delicious rice and a carrot and cabbage salad. It was ready at the time requested and the price very fair for the quality of cooking and the quantity. Restaurants are losing out on the high margin bar trade and their waitstaff is likely furloughed. At least they can keep the kitchen crew employed and pay the rent. We miss the ambiance of the dining room and the sincere and caring wait staff. Let's help them through this tough time and still enjoy what they do so well.

Eight months on since my last review and the nasty virus is still wreaking havoc on our normal lives. Dining with my wife and/or with friends is still one of the most precious joys in life. We have all had to make some adjustments. Right now, and through the winter, most of us are doing a lot more takeout than ever before. When it comes from a place as reliable as Tucker's it is a good consolation prize. We have ventured into the dining room a few times, but the takeout will probably be the main route for some time to come. Fortunately, they have a wide and changing menu, and being fifteen minutes as the crow flies, it is still hot when we get home. With excellent ingredients, a gracious staff and consistently fine menus, they have brought us much joy. While we often savor more creative cooking, Tucker's knows their market. They are a cut above without being pretentious. The soups and vegetables are always a delight and the price point is very fair.

We were staying nearby and had family come to visit. We decided on a family takeout dinner for 4 from Tucker's. We ordered the baked cod which came with vegetables and a starch. The fish was delicious, the vegetable was a tasty mix of fresh vegetables sautéed tender crisp, the starch was wild rice that was a little bland. We would definitely be a repeat customer next time we are in the area.

Dropped in on Saturday night looking for a casual meal. We sat at the bar, the bartender ( Karen may be the owner?) barely acknowledged us . We ordered a drink that our server made for us and an order of the freid Green Beans, we liked that choice. My cosmo was very sweet cause they used store bought mixers. My wife ordered the Chicken Cordon Blue which came with mashed Potato and Butternut Squash. we both agreed it was just ok. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie. My meal came in a large bowl with a scoop each of mashed Potato and Buttenut Squash in with the pot pie. Those two sides had no business on that plate. The biscut was bland and not big enough, the chicken gravy was also very bland, the best i can say is the dish had plenty of Chicken and vegetables but fell flat after that! I dont write many poor reviews ( this is my second) but we ate here about ten years ago and now we remember why we never went back! This restaurant has been in business a long time now and upon leaving didn't get a "thanks for coming in" or any other response, even from the hostess at the station but no worries cause we wont be back anytime soon!!

We have known, liked and appreciated Tucker's ever since they opened. My last review, almost 3 years ago, praised their fine takeout menus while we were all coping with Covid. Thankfully, most, not all folks and restaurants made it to the other side. They know their local market, and occupy an interesting niche, considerably better than most "family" dining establishments and not quite "fine dining", although some dishes are worthy of that category. Their soups, vegetables and seafood are always delightful. Their service is consistently friendly and efficient. But sometime last year we had a couple of meals that were mildly disappointing. Unfair to the restaurant, we didn't say anything. A couple of other regulars we know had similar misgivings. So, in the typical fashion of amateur diners, we went elsewhere. On a Tuesday night in mid-August we decided to give them another try. The weekly specials, which one can be alerted to through their e-mails, were tempting. We had all of them (Crab Cake Appetizer, Fish and Chips and Raspberry Cheesecake) and they were first rate. Everyone can have a less than perfect day, and a quality restaurant should be given another chance. Our experience is that they also are open to constructive criticism. Tucker's is back on our approved list, and we are happy for them and us.

Place was very busy, but we were greeted and seated quickly. Our server, Paige, was very friendly and attentive even though she also had a party of twelve that she was handling (among other things!). We decided to sample soups and appetizers as our meal, so we started with French Onion soup and turkey vegetable soup. The turkey vegetable was just delicious and the French onion was average. Our appetizers were an absolute delight! We had seafood stuffed mushrooms, grilled sea scallops with honey apple maple glaze, shrimp tempura with coconut lime drizzle, and butternut ravioli in a nutmeg cream sauce. What a delight for the tastebuds! Everything was perfectly cooked and presented. We decided to try the chocolate torte for dessert and were not disappointed! It was warm and gooey and so good! What a great evening!

In.A.Heartbeat. That’s how fast I would recommend Tucker’s to cater another family event. In June of 2022, I planned a delayed “Celebration of Life” service and luncheon reception for our mom who passed away in January of 2021. With covid worries and restrictions, I only had best guesses on numbers on who might attend, but thought about 125. Meeting with Mike Anderson (Executive chef/co-owner) and his wife Karen (event manager/co-owner) and choosing Tucker’s to cater our tent reception was one of the best decisions I made. I wanted a delicious and elegant affair, fitting for our mom who enjoyed a long and active social life, and who appreciated the finer things life had to offer. Together with Mike and Karen, we planned a party that she would have loved attending. The presentation was elegant, creative, beautiful, and all of the food delicious. Bottom line: Tucker’s exceeded my family’s and my very high expectations. Reviewing the catering menu together, we came up with a shared vision of the event. Both Karen and Mike offered choices to consider, and were also open to my suggestions for menu modifications. When the final numbers reached 170 and I was worried about fitting people under our tent, Karen offered her event planning expertise and suggested high top tables to rent. Their combined creativity and suggestions were right on--every time. I wanted to incorporate some food from our cultural heritage to personalize the event, as well as use some family heirloom serving pieces. The result-they listened, and did so seamlessly. Their staff was accommodating, pleasant, and professional. The food and buffet style and presentation received rave reviews from family and friends, who attended from near and far. Boston suburbanites asked who did the catering and wanted to know if Tucker’s could travel! Pictures are worth 1000 words--

Very nice place. Excellent service by Adrian. Good onion soup. Shrimp stuffed with crab meat was excellent. Scallops also very good. Chicken cordon bleu was nice. We all finished with rhubarb and berry pie with ice cream. Worth the drive.

Tucker's was recommended to me for Thanksgiving sides, my husband and I decided to visit on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, we had a delicious lunch before placing an order for some Thanksgiving sides to pick up mid-week. The fish and chips were delicious and the portion was perfect. The fish was so fresh, the batter light and not at all greasy. The fries were also perfect and the coleslaw was so tasty. I had Chardonnay and he had a Bloody Mary and we enjoyed everything very much. You should dine at Tuckers, it was a great find for us. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

We had a wonderful time and dinner was excellent. The wait staff were very friendly and anticipated our every need. The waitress picked up on the birthday and brought a desert with a candle.

I loved Tucker’s from the moment I walked in! The bar is small, but very welcoming. Jessica was serving that evening, and was friendly, attentive, and makes a mean dirty martini! I ordered a cheeseburger grinder with steak fries. It was cooked to perfection! The fries were very hearty. All entrees come with a soup or salad. I chose a salad with peppercorn ranch, which was really tasty! For dessert I had the Fudge Cake Ball, a New England treat that I hadn’t had in years! It was just as I remembered and I would highly recommend it! I had the pleasure of meeting Karen, one of the owners, who graciously took a picture of me with my nieces. I will definitely return on future trips to Western Mass.!

My friend and I usually lunch here at least once a month. I love the atmosphere and the music which lends itself to fine dinning. However, lately the meals have been hit or miss. After experiencing my third lousy lunch here, I felt it was time to write a review. I usually do not write negative reviews and excuse a restaurant for making a mistake once in awhile. Yesterday's lunch pushed me over the top. My hot vegetables were so hard they were inedible. So we're my friends. The baked cod lunch portion was so small, I would classify it as appetizer portion. I ordered french fries, because I ve had at least three experiences with their steak fries or mashed potatoes which was unpleasant and tasted like old reheated leftovers. Once I ordered a special which was terrible. I no longer order specials. My meal's here lately have been very disappointing. I was given 1.84 off my meal yesterday because if the vegetables and fish. Really? I won't be going back here because the quality has continually gone down hill. Such a shame since it's such a lovely place.

My family had our Thanksgiving dinner at Tucker’s for the second year in a row. My wife and I have also dined at Tucker’s restaurant apart from the holidays, when visiting family in this part of the state. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful, and the food & beverage and service are always outstanding.
