Great local restaurant. Very quick and friendly service. Busy Friday night but were seated fairly quickly. The fresh bread was delicious. One person ordered the goat stew which was very good. The meatloaf had a spicy gravy with curry. Reuben sandwich was big and yummy. The short ribs were very tender. Great selection of tasty food and generous portions! We'll... More

We ate here while on vacation. A fun place with a good atmosphere. Food was good and the beer selection was quite good as well. Easy to get to from our hotel in Somerville.

I have been meaning to eat at Highland Kitchen for ages, and finally got there today. The vibe is friendly and casual, but the creative menu takes things to a new level. There were so many tempting dishes that we didn't know where to start. Our server gave some great suggestions, so we began with some house-favorite cocktails. For starters... More

Our local tour guides suggested the Highland for dinner but warned us that we were going to wait at least an hour for a table on a Saturday night, even at 6pm. Much to their surprise we got a table immediately even though there was a big crowd in the bar. We started with drinks and apps. The buffalo Brussels... More

I find this restaurant a bit overrated. I had to wait for one hour before being seated and the food was average. There are plenty of other options in the area.

The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. Need we say more, yes! This was a birthday celebration and we had a group of six. We did arrive on the earlier side of dinner so we did not wait very long to be seated. It is very loud and lively in the restaurant and the seating is a little compact,... More

Reviews said this was a great bar. We wanted dinner and tried it anyway. It might be a good bar, but the food was amazing! It is a loud and lively place and we had a 30-45 minute wait. But, we only waited about 20 minutes. We started with goat cheese fritters that were to die for. True greatness. I... More

The food was superb!! Appetizer we had was friend soft-shell crab: it was perfect!! Beer selection: waitress allowed us to sample two beers: we chose a fruity smooth one (forgot the name). We had Spicy Jambalaya: excellent. and English Style Beer Battered Fish & Chips: excellent!! Waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Will recommend and return here often.

I want to tell everyone this place is wonderful and I don't want to tell anyone about it at all! It's already crowded. It is a lively busy place for dinner and (I see) for drinks too. The food is excellent quality, far above other local mid-priced restaurants, and they have steak, pasta, fish, real mashed potatoes and strict vegetarian... More

I LOVE highland kitchen! This place is a must for brunch on Sunday's. You have to get here early if you don't want to wait long for a table and I mean before they open! There is usually a line waiting around the corner for a table. Their Bloody Mary mix is to die for and the pickled green beans... More
