Their bbq is awesome. I mean, that's what they do, right? OMG! So good! Their margaritas are awesome! I had a spicy margarita which I would not ordinarily get, but was it good!!!! Their desserts are not that great. I got the beignets. If you've never been to New Orleans, they might be ok, but don't expect Cafe du Monde... More

We eat here every couple of weeks. It's a nice no-frills bbq joint, with well prepared meats and a nicely cultivated and frequently updated craft beer collection on tap. Their seating covers two floors so even on Fridays you can usually snag a table if you are willing to sit at the counter or in the basement. Our favorites are... More

Really good food. Not fancy. Very casual. A lot of history. Friendly staff. My husband had the ribs and loved it. Thanks LGJ

Visited for lunch and the ribs were OK. I think this place is gotten to Van Ness and they are resting on their laurels. The beer selection was quite good.

Awesome BBQ. I got Barbecue Belt With 1 texas rib, 2 st louis ribs, 2 baby back ribs, sliced brisket & house smoked sausage. Everything was cooked to perfection. The meat peeled right off the bone and practically melted in your mouth. The sausage was one of if not the best I ever had. For sides I got the dirty... More

Stopped by Redbones the day of Porchfest. Local place where you can always meet a friend at the bar. Was a bit disappointed in the bartenders pick for a cider. I told him that I didn't like it too sweet. He poured me something that tasted quite bitter. Oh well I asked him to decide for me. Ordered the corn... More

I've been coming to Redbones for 20 years. It was something special. Even had them cater an event. But it's not quite as good as it used to be. Maybe it was just the dry cornbread, which was an extra charge. The fried okra was delicious as always, and my brisket was good. I'd still recommend the place (though not... More

Today was one of our many trips to Redbones over the years. The menu has changed slightly over time, but the basic barbecue theme has not. In addition to baby backs, they have Texas ribs, fried catfish, pulled pork, sausage, and a seasonal chili. We had baby back ribs, which is our favorite. They have a cask beer that I... More

For many years I lived in the Boston-Cambridge area, within walking distance of Davis Square (Somerville). I probably walked by it several times but, either I never noticed, or simply ignored what from the outside looks like an unattractive neighborhood watering hole. Until my taste buds received an alert from an accidental internet recommendation of the 10 best places for... More

This restaurant is an essential place for us to visit on every trip to Beantown. It doesn't look much from the outside, and its formica tables belie the quality of the food - it is only the inevitable crowd of people that always seem to be there that let you know it has a well deserved good reputation. The 'draft... More
