We really liked Five Horses and will return. We came for brunch with a party of 7, and everyone enjoyed their entrees. The service was very good and the ambiance was fun.

My husband and I decided to try out a restaurant in Somerville since we have heard so many good things about the restaurant scene. We settled on Five Horses Tavern...The atmosphere was decent a typical tavern type feel, although the music was loud which made it difficult to have a conversation while having dinner. Our waitress was super friendly and... More

Interesting menu able to accomadate 6 on short notice. The sausage and pasta dish was excellent. Also the mac and cheese got rave reviews. Large selection of beer but wines were disappointing in flavor and choice.

The menu here is really interesting. It's a lovely cushion of styles of food. I opted for the Kentucky style chicken, as a starter and it was 5 massive pieces, with an amazing 'dragon sauce' which was sweet enough and really delightful. ( I got extra and was happy to pay the charge) The corn bread was melt in your... More

I went there with a friend and we love the atmosphere there! It is convivial! The Five Horse team is welcoming and they got good beer! I love the fried chicken too. It is a good place for Friday afterwork or weekend friend gatherings.

We went for a late lunch and I was impressed with the setting and the service, but also the variety of choices on the beverage and food menu. The service was really good, the servers covered for eachother and were all very friendly. The food menu offered choices in addition to "fries" (like grits). My teenage daughter (super picky) actually... More

This place was bustling and lively on a Saturday afternoon. We have been here for lunch and just late night drinks..best ambience and great staff. The food is very good and their selection of beer is amazing. Love the Night Shift Awake Beer. Definitely the place to hang out with some friends for some drinks and chatter.

Sat outside which is a great spot for people watching, enjoyed my Baja Tacos (really like that I could pick how many I wanted). Food was above average, drinks were OK but I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Smallish menu if you are a picky eater or have dietary restrictions.

I had the potato taco which was a typical small taco size but I was expecting something different on my plate. I had a flour tortilla with a 1/2 cup of deep fried potato chunks and a small piece of avocado. That's it! No sauce or anything else. Very disappointed that I didn't ask more questions. There are so many... More

I move to Somerville in January, I can't get enough of this place! I go here at least twice a week!! Food- Pros- Soo much flavor! Couple favorites, (mussels, Kale Salad, loaded tots, Lobster Pizza, shakshuka, drunken wings, rack o ribs, *tavern burger, *hanger steak) *Cons- The steak is always well done, drunken wings are often too salty.
