Whenever I’m in Sandwich, I always stop at the Brown Jug for gourmet food items, candy, baked goods and spices. (Wine connoisseurs I travel with are always impressed by their selection). This is the first time I sat and had their thin crust pizza! And...it was DE-LISH. Thin crust, fresh toppings and nicely crisped in an outdoor pizza oven. The owner and all the staff are super-friendly!More

Once again, following TA reviews produces a good result. The Brown Jug is Sandwich's top rated pizza place for a reason. We enjoyed the Meateaters pie. Their Neopolitan crust and sauce were wonderful. Seating is outdoor in two areas, one across from the "kitchen". A...large variety of meats were evenly cooked and served with a smile. The iced tea was very good, but unfortunately they don't offer free refils.More

This is such a cute, quaint little place. Located on Main Street it’s easy to get to. Has plenty of outdoor seating. The pizza is made to order in a brick oven and it’s delicious! I highly recommend the pizza!

If you go back to a place -- and if you just cannot wait to go back -- it's good; 1t stands out from the crowd because of that goodness, and/or for other positive reasons. Come with me . . . . Park (easily enough)...and walk in. Where am I? A food store? Great pastas, olive oils, et al. A wine store? Yes. A great wine selection at competitive prices. So, fill the cart and go home? WHAT? We selected our pizzas in the store front, ordered and p[aid for them, and then walked outside to choose a table and place our order no. on it. A trip the beer/wine window resulted in two excellent beers and, soon, our pizzas arrived. Have you ever wanted to somehow take a great pizza and bring it to every pizza joint you still patronize and say, "Here. Like this." Well, that's what Brown Jug gives you. Ethereally thin, tasty crust, topped with fresh everything. The wait was worth it.More

Thin, delicious crust. All toppings first rate. Innovative, interesting combinations. A nice selection of wine, too. Just delightful. Comfortable, outdoor seating. Solid service.

It’s a small restaurant downtown but very nice ! There is a little shop to buy some beers or wines, the food is limited to a couple of pizzas but they are very good !

A wide variety of Italian food to choose from. Everyone ordered something different . The pizza was great. The pizza order was incorrect initially but it was corrected promptly and courteously. Service was excellent.

I have read the reviews on the Brown Jug and I have been wanting to check it out for quite some time. It was the perfect day for it. The patio area was great. There were so many different little areas to sit in. We...ordered some pizza and I had to go to a different place to order some wine. My husband came up to me and said “we have to move, all I can smell is sewage. I had never mentioned the review that I read that talked about the port-a-potty. It is NOT a small issue. The smell was awful. The good news is, we were able to move up one level and sit near the oven. All you could smell there was the fire. We enjoyed our time but, the establishment needs to take this seriously.More
