I went here on a weekday afternoon for a late lunch and the place was pretty crowded. There's bar counter, and a bunch of tables though the place isn't very big. I got a specialty called the salmon burger and it was delicious! I highly recommend it and the sauce it came in, though I dunno if they have it all the time. Prices weren't cheap but not expensive either. Service was OK, the food came out quickly which was great, though it took a while to get the bill and pay in the end.

Great food, and fab pies HOWEVER, big sign on the door that everyone must wear a mask and NONE of the waitresses were wearing masks. They had them around their necks. I wanted to leave so bad, my husband insisted on staying. I wanted to report them to the Rowley Board of Health but My husband said don't hurt their business. I was very disappointed, and I will not go back til I know all their employees have received their vaccinations. I LOVE their Chocolate Cream Pie, but it's not work risking Covid for a slice. I hope the owner reads this.

Stopped by for the first time today to have lunch. I sat at the counter because that's all part of the diner experience to me. Love diners. The staff should make you feel welcome and serve food that makes you feel comfortable. There should be nothing pretentious about them. I ordered a BLT, a side of potato salad, and iced tea. Food arrived quickly and I was surprised at the amount of food. The potato salad was a heaping bowlful. The BLT was the biggest I've ever had. Both were delicious. I ate it all but, honestly couldn't eat another bite. No room for dessert. This was a totally great experience. I read the reviews from previous people. I was shocked by some of the negative reviews. This is a DINER for goodness sakes! Don't complain about lack of seasonings, crowded seating, or atmosphere. It's not a 5 star restaurant. Don't compare them. Gourmet prices? Oh Please! Very reasonable prices for the large portions. Cash only? Good, it keeps the prices down as they don't lose money on credit card fees. Rude staff? Not at all. If you like diners, this is one of the best. If you want posh gourmet food, go elsewhere and pay "gourmet prices". My only regret is that I don't live in the area so I could be a regular.

I would have thought I was down South in 1960. Went with two friends who happened to be African American. The waitress gave us a very disgusted look and tossed the menus at us. She was unpleasant and rude. It became quite clear she did not want to give us service so we left. Never experienced anything like that before and was shocked. Tried to follow up with manager but after calling 3 times with no success, gave up.

Hadn't been here for a couple of years. Service still prompt and courteous. Ordered pumpernickel toast with scrambled eggs. Bread had freezer burn, and buttered in kitchen but butter wouldn't melt. Otherwise the food was fine diner fare. The saddest part was the cavalier non-compliance with covid guidance. The manager (proprietor?) who works hard and manages well, was wearing NO face covering. The other waitstaff lady was. People were seated at the counter at every other stool (maybe 3' separation?) and within 3' of food to be served. People entered and left without wearing masks. It really seemed no one was expected to wear a mask. Tables were sprayed and cleaned carefully after diners left, but that and one staff member wearing a mask was the extent of covid safety compliance. If we had noticed the lapses sooner, we would have left without eating.

Coffee used to be great
Now it sucks
We travel specifically for their coffee from Gloucester Massachusetts. Today the fifth of January, my friend and I came to have breakfast with coffee because we have loved the coffee in the few times we have visited. Finding out the brand was called Hogan Brothers. Now today the coffee most definitely was not Hogan brothers coffee.
The coffee was so bad that we could not even take another sip. We told waitress and she got snippy and was not any real help all.

Perfect stop after a day of travelling around! Great authentic diner experience! Food is typical diner style -we had grilled cheese and fries with a coconut cream pie and apple pie-omg the BEST coconut cream i have ever had!!!
Lovely staff and atmosphere!!

Ambiance is there if you like a diner but the food was just ok. Some of the portions were huge and some were not. It is very much like Red's in Salem but the portions at Reds are much bigger. I cannot say enough about the staff they are great and the wait time for delivery was 5 minutes. It is not the best not the worst just what you would expect. I crossed it off my bucket list.

One Turkey club✅, One tuna melt✅ fries not included.
Both good as expected. Jukeboxes on each table no longer work so a little let down there. This dinner is in good shape. The service is pretty serious and business-like and not as friendly as you would expect.

Stopped in for breakfast and thought it was great. The service was friendly and efficient, and the omelets were excellent. Coconut cream pie was the best we've ever had.

My wife loves the burgers there and I like many of their items, but really can not get away from the deserts like the eclairs when they have them and the rich Chocolate pie, Banana cream pie is pretty good also.

I’ve been living in Rowley for 6 years and I can’t understand why this place is always busy. Sure you get the charm of a classic diner, but that’s about it. Other than their homemade pies, the rest of the food is awful. The ingredients are cheap and the dishes poorly prepared. There are several other breakfast/lunch spots in the area that are far better. Just head a little further north on Rt. 1.

We were traveling through the area and stopped in blind, not knowing anything about the diner. There were quite a few customers inside but we got a booth quickly. The atmosphere was relaxing and casual. We ordered the homemade beef stew and a side plate of fried clams with a side salad. Everything was yummy. Service great and prices appropriate for the area. The only surprise was that payment method is cash only. Good thing we had some on hand!

No matter what you like you will find it here. The food is ample, even too much. The staff is always friendly. Make sure you get there early, it fills up quick
