we've been there twice and it was OK. Nothing special but the food is OK. The wait staff are really nice and that's probably why we went back. I can't recommend anything because it 's all averagely Ok food.

Food was terrible. Beef tacos were very greasy. Ordered chicken fajitas casadilla but received a completely dish. Salsa was too salty. House margaritas were good but not worth the tab. Will not return.

I must admit I rank most Mexican restaurants on their chips & salsa and their Mole sauce. This place delivered on both! Plus the staff is very friendly and has a warm atmosphere.

The margarita's were really great! Great tortilla chips! The service is very attentive! The food is served on very large "oven hot plates." I like hot food to, but this was not necessary. My fish tacos were white flour tortilla, very little fish, and NO vegetable toppings on top, just fish and sauce. I expected 3 tacos in a stand as... More

This was our first visit but won't be our last. Quick and attentive service. Chimichanga, burritos both delicious and fresh tasting. The the beef and chicken were great in quality and flavor. Refried beans were hot and delicous. the rice was just ok. Definately get the top shelf Margarita. I had the Sangria which was not good at all and... More

El Tapatio is a regular stop for us. The quality of the food is very good and the service always keeps up. It's a great option for kids as well, with their kids menu and willingness to make up whatever you'd like. If you like Mexican food, you should give them a try!

The restaurant is a family type bordering on fast food. The drinks, especially the Cadillac Margarita, were especially good. The food is average at best. The fish taco's are small and come in three small soft tortilla shells. They advertise cod but it was hard to tell since it was cut in small cubes. The chicken quesadilla was very thin... More

Our first visit and we will be going back! Food was great. I don't know why it took us so long to try it out, but I'm glad we did.

Don't understand the "average" and less than great reviews. We've lived in the Southwest and have tried countless Mexican restaurants on the North Shore and this is our new favorite. First time there I had a torta and it was great. This time I had the Camarones Mojo de Ajo. Now I love shrimp, I love butter and I love... More

We probably visit this restaurant about twice a year, primarily because it is very consistent, clean, and good service. I probably would give them a 4 star rating if I were a died in the wool Mexican food lover.
