My brother owned a business a few buildings up from Helmut's and I have been going to Rockport for decades. This is a must visit place for my morning coffee. The deck in the back gives you a view of the harbor and Motif #!. You can park at the point of Bear Skin Neck for free until 10 am... More

Stopped for a short visit for a break from the action. Relaxing spot on their back porch to enjoy/relax a bit. Been here before.

We stopped in to get some rolls for our dinner later that evening but they only had "day old" pastries bagged up for sale. We went ahead and purchased a bag of 3 rolls, no two alike, and were amazed at how fresh they tasted! Get the "day old" pastries, save a bundle, and enjoy!

We vacation in Rockport yearly and Helmut's is always on our list of best breakfast choices. An almond croissant, a savory spinach croissant or a slice of apple strudel with an iced coffee on Helmut's cozy back deck is a great way to ease into the day. The deck overlooks the harbor and is a great place to sit and... More

I was looking forward to trying their apple strudel, but I was somewhat disappointed--the pastry was a bit tough. It was just OK. I saw several flies landing on the various pastries--obviously, the staff had forgotten to use the proper shields to protect the pastry display.

was surprised to find a charming bakery just a few steps from the tip of bearskin neck. Just pick up a strudel and walk through the shops and sit by the water. Perfect.

Yes, you read that right folks. This is THE ONLY place in the lower part of touristy street in Rockport that has a public restroom. So, give the business some due respect, order a strudel or a croissant (buttery, flakey and so fresh) and use the restroom. There may be a line but you can also wait inane of the... More

We visited in mid afternoon. You are at the mercy of what is available at the moment as they appear to be baking items all day long. If you are willing to wait you can get what you want. The food is delicious but expensive. They have a deck out back that offers a great view of the harbor.

When we walked in we were greeted with a hello, good morning, Hard to get in Rockport where most of the young people working really didn't want to be there. The young girl working was helpful and made a great latte. The strudel was tastie and there was a little back deck to eat and look at the bay.

A quaint little bakery with delightful pastries and a magnificent view of the Rockport Harbor. Could have gone back for seconds and thirds with different strudels, croissants, and other pastries. Well worth a visit when strolling Bearskin Neck!
