It was late November, in the off season and we were pleasantly surprised to see the Blue Lobster open for breakfast. Well normally breakfast is so boring but this was great. My egg cheese and linguica on english muffin was terrific, an omlette was very...good and even the fried potatoes were something special. Service was great, people were very nice, prices were right and Covid precautions were very good. Try this place - you can't go wrong.More
Had a great early dinner outside at the Blue Lobster Grille in the heart of Rockport next to Bearskin Neck wharf and shops.
Our lobster roll and lobster scampi over linguine were excellent and service was extremely helpful and friendly.
Nice that they were able...to put some tables outside for seating. Inside looked good as well.More
Just had lunch at the Blue Lobster Grille with my wife. We had a cup of the clam chowder and a cup of the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was too thin but hot with good chunks of lobster and the chowder was flat and...luke warm. But the highlight was the fish and shrimp muquecha. This was over the top. It was served in a boiling metal bowl with rice. Enough for 2. It was SUPERB. Never had muquecha before, but definitely will have it again. It, simply, is Brazilian fish stew. Different spices and served very differently. It was fantastic. We'll be back.More
If you are lucky you will visit the Blue Lobster Grill on a day when they have the chef's special Moqueca "mo-KEH-kah" aka Brazilian seafood stew on the menu. Call ahead and see if they have it, it's not everyday that they offer it. Don't...skimp, order it with the shrimp, clams, mussels, everything in it .... really good. Cooked in the authentic clay pot and don't forget to ask for the hot pepper oil to go with it ... but be cautious, don't ruin it by going overboard with the hot pepper oil, a drop or two at a time is all you need. It is a well proportioned dish served with rice. If with a friend, consider ordering an appetizer and sharing the Moqueca as the main course. Not available for takeout. This review is based on when my wife and I dined there in late August 2020.More
We sat outside on picnic tables under an umbrella. Service was fast. The lobster roll was the simple quintessential New England roll with all sides of the bun buttered and grilled to perfection. The lobster was plentiful, overflowing and juicy. Lemonade was homemade and perfect.
After a cruise, we stopped in picturesque, seaside Rockport, expecting "food for the soul" views. The first couple days we ate adequate fare in uninspiring restaurants. Then after peeking through the front window, we entered the small, non-promising Blue Lobster for just a drink. Upon...being escorted into the back room, our expectations lifted as we gazed at the world-class view of busy boats and the famous red, fishermen's shack! The experience remained world-class with the baked haddock which tasted as if it jumped from the water right onto my plate. The waitresses were first-name friendly, and were glad to see us when we returned for "more haddock, please" the following evening. You might think that, living in Florida, we would not need to search for excellent seafood elsewhere. Sadly, we still search. Blue Lobster Grille was that unexpected pleasure that proved "you can't tell a book by it's cover."More
Being a vegetarian, I was unsure about stepping into a seafood restaurant for lunch. But, as we were hungry I was willing to give anywhere a go! Luckily, I had nothing to worry about. There are a couple of veggie options available, and I decided...on the veggie burger - a meal that I’m not usually very keen on. The veggie burger here, however, was divine and the brioche bun it came in was to die for.
My husband had the lobster roll and also enjoyed his meal.
The best part for me, though, was the views from our window seat - how pretty!More
I called on a Saturday to make reservations for the next day Sunday. When we arrived, we were told the dining room was closed even though there were diners eating. When I explained that I had reservations, I was told I did not. They did...not try to rectify the problem nor seemed concerned. We left and will never step foot through their door again.More

Tom, this is a formal request to stop your allegations of fraud. Our server hit the wrong number on the computer, or mistook your 2 for a 7. These mistakes occur in all businesses and are immediately corrected when said business is notified. You did not do that and immediately accused the restaurant of fraud. We have the receipt and immediately ascertained that there was no alteration of numbers. Our lawyer cofirmed that no fraud was committed.
We apologize that you have been inconvenienced. Feel free to contact me at 978-290-6482 to resolve this issue. Thank you
