All reviews lobster risotto vindaloo shaking beef salad bread burger p town anniversary dinner our waiter window table special occasion fine dining off season great view great meal open year round cape cod
We had the pleasure of having this establishment be the host of our wedding day dinner in PTown. We just celebrated our 5 year anniversary, and can’t wait to visit it again someday, maybe for our 10 year celebration!
Cheers and thank you
We walked in to The Mews at 7PM on Halloween (Saturday) without a reservation. The fantastic host suggested we consider the outside deck. While it was 45° and totally open to the elements, we sat next to a heater and, while a little cold (ok...the occasional gust of wind made it momentarily really COLD) it worked. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She made sure we were never forgotten and our service was first rate.
The reason we were there was, of course, the food. The menu was unexpectedly cool, including some Vietnamese food. Our meals were frankly all four star! I had the shaking beef...excellent!
Today, 5 days later, the cold deck somehow seemed very romantic (the full moon glistening off the bay) and the Mews will never be forgotten! Thanks to the amazing staff and even better food!More
This had been one of my favorite restaurants in Provincetown but I had not been back for many years (no opportunity to get back to this part of the Cape). Was glad that it is still as delicious and creative as I remembered it. We...opted for take out and food was ready as promised. Highly recommend shaking beef, scallops, lobster dumpling, and shrimp cocktail served with 2 types of condiments. The only slight miss were the breadsticks and it may have been due to not having the dipping sauce in our take out order.More
Based on reviews we decided to make a reservation at The Mews. We sat upstairs in the Bistro which had tables generously spaced out for Covid restrictions. We started with some fresh oysters and champagne and was not disappointed. The oysters were plump, served in...their liquor and were pleasantly briny.
In order to take a break from seafood we orded two burgers for mains and was not disappointed. Burgers were cooked exactly as orded and the accompanying fries were crisp and salty.
Our server made the evening great and they were friendly, accommodating and engaged us throughout the evening. Well done.More
My lovely wife brought me here to celebrate my birthday this evening, and we had the BEST time! Our waiter Neil was fabulous, the food and drinks were to die for, we had a great table in the corner with windows looking out onto an...amazing view of Cape Cod Bay just as a beautiful storm approached, and it all was just perfect! We will definitely go back again.More
Heard lots of great reviews both online and from locals. Atmosphere really great, very romantic with views of the water. Unfortunately the food was disappointing and VERY overpriced. Ordered the burrata, scallops, and the shaking beef. The quality of ingredients were ok, but the flavors...were lacking and did not mesh well. We don’t mind paying extra for good food but at those prices, it simply should have been much better. All of the staff was great though, especially our waitress; she was very attentive, helpful, and sweet. Wish I could’ve given a better review.More
Loved this restaurant! From start to finish we had a great experience. My husband and I went for our anniversary. Not only did we have a great view but the food was so good! Our waitress was wonderful. Thank you very much for making our...night so perfect!More
The Mews was our favorite restaurant during a 3 week stay (remote work enabled) during which we also ate dinner at Mac’s, Pepi’s, Helltown, Foot Long (wharf), Canteen andJimmy’s Hideaway.
The Mews was head and shoulders above in food, drink, service.
This is where you...should start especially if your time is limited. Enjoy!More
After we were seated at our indoor table the host came over to let us know there was a cancellation outside and asked us if we wanted there instead. That was a very nice gesture!
The service was fantastic, and my wife was overjoyed that...most of the items on the menu were either gluten free or could be made gluten-free. Including the panko crusted cod! They had a very nice wine list, and even some gluten-free desserts.More

That’s the dessert name that appears on the menu at The Mews — it is sometimes called Reese’s peanut butter pie at other dining establishments. The important thing is that you enjoyed it! And I hope you had a great time in P-town (and that you had an outdoor table with a view of the bay)!
