Dinner for 3. Seated promptly at reservation time. Friend ordered a cocktail "something spicy, surprise me!" Got a spicy Margarita which he enjoyed. Although their web site only show 1/2 bottles of wine they do have a full bottle wine list. I had to request it, We ordered the Gravlux and baked oysters which were very good . the onion rings were OK but cut too thick for my taste.
My partner ordered the lobster ramp risotto 4 oz of fresh lobster meat out of the shell, creamy ramp risotto, wild mushrooms, baby vegetables which was excellent. My friend and I ordered the special of the day, a rib eye over mashed potatoes with onion rings on the side. It was fine and served as requested. Shared desert was a chocolate truffle torte, a good finish for the evening. Service was excellent and friendly.
A couple of touches lacking for a restaurant this pricey: no table cloths, side condiments, one served in a lovely porcelain container, the other in a plastic cup. Wine list needs more wines under $35. They bring your bill payment to the table on a hand held device with a selection of tip choices which some find intimidating. Figuring and entering a tip with the server standing next to you is uncomfortable.
Pricey evening.

We have been eating at The Mews for about 20 years and we are always impressed by the food, ambiance, and service. During the Covid-19 pandemic we were not certain if they would be able to maintain their usual high level, but we were pleasantly surprised. Not only is the food and service still great, the ambiance is even better since they added a deck on the beach for outdoor dining. Some of our favorite dishes are Filet Mignon, Vindaloo, Wellfleet Oysters on the half-shell, and their creative salads and gazpachos. Neal and Dot are great servers - fun and ready to offer tasty suggestions, and Steve does a great job managing the front.
We highly recommend the Mews and suggest you call ahead for reservations.

After we were seated at our indoor table the host came over to let us know there was a cancellation outside and asked us if we wanted there instead. That was a very nice gesture!
The service was fantastic, and my wife was overjoyed that most of the items on the menu were either gluten free or could be made gluten-free. Including the panko crusted cod! They had a very nice wine list, and even some gluten-free desserts.

After being seated and waited on quickly, we sat for nearly an hour watching tables around us receiving entrees, desserts, and checks while we sat without food and our waitress avoided us. Finally, the waitress brought over the manager who said our ticket had never reached the kitchen and asked if we "were in a hurry." He then made a joke about using a cattle prod on the chef. Our entree then did come within a few minutes but with no apology from the waitress or manager. The manager did, however, take 15% off the bill, not enough to even cover the tip. All in all, the experience was disappointing.

Mews is a lovely restaurant, friendly and accommodating staff, and has very good food. But the portions are very small and the price is very high. My pan seared scallops ($36) was a very flavorful dish but I got a total of four scallops. It wasn't worth the price.

Based on reviews we decided to make a reservation at The Mews. We sat upstairs in the Bistro which had tables generously spaced out for Covid restrictions. We started with some fresh oysters and champagne and was not disappointed. The oysters were plump, served in their liquor and were pleasantly briny.
In order to take a break from seafood we orded two burgers for mains and was not disappointed. Burgers were cooked exactly as orded and the accompanying fries were crisp and salty.
Our server made the evening great and they were friendly, accommodating and engaged us throughout the evening. Well done.

This had been one of my favorite restaurants in Provincetown but I had not been back for many years (no opportunity to get back to this part of the Cape). Was glad that it is still as delicious and creative as I remembered it. We opted for take out and food was ready as promised. Highly recommend shaking beef, scallops, lobster dumpling, and shrimp cocktail served with 2 types of condiments. The only slight miss were the breadsticks and it may have been due to not having the dipping sauce in our take out order.

Although I had made reservations for inside seating weeks before, I still had to wait standing for almost 20 mins. After ordering we waited 15 mins for our soup (which was very good), another 15 mins for our salads (which was average) and then almost 40 mins for our entrees (which were very good). Although we wanted to get in and out rather quickly the whole dinner took almost 2 hours. Waitress was nice but no apology of any kind given. Said our entrees should be out shortly which they were not. Although it is high season, the numerous wait times were just too long and upsetting for the high prices you pay. If you want good service look elsewhere.

Web sites can be very misleading. That is certainly the case with The Mews. Chose the Beach Level Dining Room for my partners birthday dinner. My selection was based upon the pictures and description on the web site. The web site shows full length windows looking out on the beach. Far from the truth and reality. The windows actually look out on a dining deck with many tables and chairs. The tables, chairs and lattice work precludes any view of the beach and bay but this room does give you an intimate view of the diners on the deck. You can easily see what they are eating and the labels on their wine bottles. That was our view for the entire dinner. Also, if you are planning a before or after dinner drink that would be an impossibility. The bar is totally booked and occupied with diners. The bar is simply an extension of the dining room. Our meal and service can only be rated as excellent but that doesn't make up for the missing facets of a fine dining experience for which you are being charged. If you are not concerned with ambience, crowds and what constitutes a fine dining experience then this is the place for you. As for me, I would rate The Mews as, "Great Food in a Fast Food Enviroment. Never again. Attention Mews management: Time to change the web site pictures to reflect the truth.

Hello Paul. First, thank you for rating your meal and service as excellent. There is no subterfuge or anything deliberately misleading in our website pictures. The outdoor deck is a temporary structure which the town very kindly allowed us to build last year when indoor capacity was slashed due to the pandemic. It was permitted for three months so we did not think we needed to show it on the website. When the pandemic dragged on into 2021, the town extended the permit through the 2021 busy season. It will be removed in the following weeks. As for the full bar, it simply attests to the fact that our bartenders are very popular. We allow plenty of time for diners at their table so most of our guests enjoy their pre or post dinner drinks at their own table.

Had a very uneventful meal, pretty bland and dry! The service seemed strained and at one point, a manager angrily and aggressively told a colleague “to the left, TO THE LEFT” which did not feel good at all to hear and see.
We ordered Parmesan with Truffle Fries and they arrived soggy, the top few fries had some shavings of Parmesan and truffle but otherwise they were just soggy and poor quality like the rest of our food. We asked the server to change them and she returned to tell us “this is how we make our truffle and Parmesan fries!” I said to her, “they are neither Truffle tasting nor have much Parmesan, so you should not be calling them by this name in that case!”
We visited here for a special experience given the price but sadly we experienced a very average service, average food and a room in need of decoration as far as we could see.
Our main courses of chicken and beef were average to poor, a bit dry and uninspiring like the overall feeling of this place. Disappointing given the price!

Came with a group of friends (we were renting a house in Orleans for the week). Mews was highly recommended and we made reservations a few weeks prior. It was absolutely fabulous. Our waiter Steve was a peach and a half!!! So attentive without being overbearing. Two people in my group had unusual cocktails that were hits-the Thai Martini being one. Very different and delicious!!! They have multiple different types of vodka to choose from. One of the appetizers we chose was a lobster dumpling in an Asian type broth…to die for. For main dishes we chose the tuna, lobster risotto, cod. Everything equally wonderful. I would recommend this place to everyone. It was a wonderful evening.

I don't like writing reviews that aren't positive, but we've been to Mews three times in as many summers and our experience is just not what it was the first time we went. Sat in the nice area upstairs, friendly service and greta ambiance, but the food was not at par. I'm cursed being Italian and so its difficult for me to be objective about pasta and the gnocchi I had were just not great. Neither my app nor my appetizer were anything I'd have again - I think I had some kind of shaking beef? - not great. Will probably return next time I'm in town in hopes of getting them on a good night, but the two last times we've been were disappointing.

We just had dinner at The Mews this evening. The food was outstanding and the staff was excellent. We ordered the Venison Carpaccio and a Caesar salad to start. The Carpaccio was delicious and the candied, toasted hazelnuts made the dish exceptional. The Caesar salad had an excellent dressing that had a little bit of a kick. It was more than enough for one and might have even been enough for two or three. For our main courses we had the lobster vindaloo and the veal chop Milanese. The vindaloo had a nice level of spice, a respectable amount of lobster and a very nice naan that accompanied it. The veal was pounded very thin and tender and had a very crispy coating. It was served over what seem like homemade buttered noodles. It was delicious! The view is very nice also but this restaurant doesn't need a view to attract customers because the food speaks for itself.

Anniversary dinner did not disappoint. It’s difficult to find creative vegetarian options and. Get so tired of salads and veggie burgers. The tofu vindaloo with basmati rice and homemade naan was stellar. My meat-eater husband devoured his 14 oz rib eye with truffle butter. As an anniversary treat, we splurged on a couple of scoops of gelato, pistachio and hazelnut crunch, which were excellent . My husband loved his authentic Italian espresso, complete with lemon peel, just like he always has with his family.
Tiho was an exceptional server. Totally pleased with everything about the meal!

Reservations required, and luckily we made them 2 weeks in advance. Downstairs dining is more intimate. (They do have an outdoor patio for dining down stairs - it was too breezy & cold for that, for us, so we stayed indoors). Dorothy was our AMAZING waitress, who was not only extremely competent in her service - but she added charm, whit, and humor to the experience. WHEN we go back, we will be requesting a table in her section.
For starters I had the breadsticks with truffle /honey butter, and my husband had the scallop chowder. Entree for me was a compressed watermelon salad, and he had scallops. We shared a piece of deconstructed lemon poppyseed cheesecake and we followed Dorothy's advice on white wine selection.
The food was AMAZING; the ambience warm & inviting ; and Dorothy earned the 5 star review!!
