The seafood was prepared well but not outstanding enough for the prices on the menu. The place was heavily staffed and yet the service lagged. I suspect to pad our tab with a second round of drinks. Next time I'll grab fish and chips around the corner and eat as I walk the wharf.

I was more than delighted with the food and the service. We had drinks, they served us a watermelon margarita that was great. Their lobster roll left me wishing I could come for more at least once a week!!!

I did not hesitate when a colleague suggested he would treat me to lunch here and it being off season we could enjoy it without the crowds. I had the lobster taco and the clam chowder. Both were wonderful for a light lunch. He indulged in a whole baked stuff lobster savoring in its goodness as we spoke. While I... More

I didn't want the wait as I wanted to be on the beach for sunset. I ordered a Lobster Bisque to go and went to Race Point, Extraordinary soup . Filling. Delicious. Just the right fit for a very cold Fall night.

We walked into lunch here in the off season, and the place was still packed. We were only a little hungry and mostly hung over. The waitress helped us decide what to order after hearing our plight and our likes/dislikes, including refreshing cocktails, and she graciously accommodated our splitting every dish - it was like a seafood sampler by the... A little waiting was necessary till we could finally seat, but it was a pleasure to enjoy a not-to-miss bloody mary meanwhile. Not only the losbter is a good choice in this great restaurant. Fish and oysters were supreme as well! A positive point was that the waiter kindly accepted to change my meal into another one with no questioning...the... More

Just be careful when visiting here, the staff can be hit and miss and the food can be the same. All we ask for is consistency when visiting an eatery however this place falls short. We visited for lunch and dinner, lunch spot on dinner oh my goodness something went wrong for dinner, think the staff needed a siesta and... More

We were in Provincetown right at the far end of Cape Cod way out of seaon. Provincetown is a tourist trap - so out of season it's dead and we didn't have much choice over lunch. This isn't a great restaurant, neither is it especially good value - but the service was super friendly and they produced a lobster and... More

We needed to eat lunch between whale watching and our dune tour. We found the Lobster Pot on Commercial Street. It was a good find. The restaurant was packed, but the waitstaff found us a place at the bar. We didn't get the view of the bay that those in the dining room had, but the food was the same... More

As soon as you enter you realize this is the typical tourist trap. The food is just ok and if not because of the lobster, it would be a total failure. Unrefined dishes, a menu without structure, poor wine selection. And expensive. However, the service is great and they make you feel at home.

Thanks for your review...we appreciate all "feedback" and we understand we cannot satisfy all of the people all of the time. Yes, we are in a tourist town, BUT by no means "trap" any of our customers. Our over 35yrs in business owned and operated by the McNulty family combined with our excellent reviews and our standing in this great... More
